Tyrown Waigana (@crawlincrocodile) a Perth based artist and designer, has been named as this year’s winner of the prestigious National NAIDOC Poster Competition. "The figure inside the shape of Australia is a representation of Indigenous Australians showing that this country - since the dawn of time - Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land." We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as traditional custodians of the land on which it operates. 02.01.2022 GEALC is so happy to announce that our Centre is the recipient of the "Innovation in a time of COVID Acknowledgement Award" for the 2020 Victorian Learn Local Awards. We feel honoured to receive this award amongst all the great work the Learn Local sector has been doing this year! GEALC is proud that it has been able to engage and connect with its learners during this challenging time and help them achieve their goals in some small way and we are so proud of our tutors, staff... and volunteers for their outstanding efforts during this challenging time. We are also incredibly proud of our students and their outstanding efforts in not only embracing the new technology but in managing to learn English online. WELL DONE to everyone involved!
