Femke is Associate Professor and Academic Program Director at the University of Melbourne. She is a biologist, neuroscientists and educator. She feels strongly about supporting people to work with challenges. She is passionate about STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). 24.01.2022 As part of Glen Eira FC Home Football School Today/Monday 14/9 at 6-7pm there will be a cross-fit session run by Mark Ursu. Mark runs his own cross fit gym, Cross Fit Iron Bear in Scoresby. His gym has competed in many state events and is now ranked in the top three in Victoria. Before his cross-fit career, Mark was a national u15 swimming champion for backstroke and then went on to train at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS). 18.01.2022 *GDS Coaching Appointment #2 Glen Eira FC is excited to announce and warmly welcomes Liesl Woods to the Girls' Development Squad coaching team! Liesl or "Jonesy" is a player and coach of football, futsal and AFL. She has played for 14 years, having started as an adult, quickly finding a passion for the sport and wanting to develop her skills and understanding of the game. ... She is a State level futsal coach, and has coached two under 12 teams to Semi-Finals and one to a Grand Final at the Futsal National Championships. She has also coached teams in the Craig Foster Cup, and co-coached the girls' state development squads in 2019. Liesl has also coached numerous football teams in her PE teaching role at Strathcona BGGS. As a player she has represented Victoria in National Championships, Bayside FC, and Melbourne Heart FC in the F-League interstate competitions, and was fortunate to travel to NZ for the Trans-Tasman Cup and with an Australian representative team to Spain for the AMF futsal World Cup in 2017. 18.01.2022 *GDS Coaching Appointment #3 The Club is excited to announce Chris Muelu as the next coach to join our Girls' Development Squad ('GDS') coaching team. Welcome Chris! Chris has considerable futsal experience and qualifications, and has been a much valued parent and assistant volunteer coach at the Club for some time, involved with his children's teams.... Chris is a FA accredited futsal coach and currently holds a FA Futsal Certificate and FA Futsal Licence. He has 3 years' of national coaching experience at the FA Futsal National Championships (FNC). These roles included an Assistant Coach for 2013 FNC Youth Mens, Head Coach for 2014 FNC U14 Boys, and Head Coach for 2015 FNC U16 Boys' teams. Chris coached for many years at the Vic Vipers Futsal Club, and coached the Senior Men's team of Brunswick Futsal Club Seniors in the Series Futsal Victoria league at Futsal Oz in 2019. Chris' outdoor football experience includes working as a Coerver Lead Coach running training sessions throughout the South East Melbourne region, and since 2012, running a SAP program at Sandringham Soccer Club. John Moriarty is a distinguished Australian who comes from the Yanyuwa people at Borroloola in the Northern Territory. A member of the stolen generation, the first Indigenous footballer to be selected to represent the Socceroos in 1960. He is a long-time advocate for Indigenous rights and Indigenous arts. He is best know as the founder of Balarinji Design Studio, for painting two Qantas jets with Aboriginal motifs.
