Our advice, chlorine is best added at night when the sunlight is not directly on the pool,... but it can also be added during the day if the chlorine level is below 2 ppm. And don’t forget, you’ll need to wait half an hour before swimmers use the pool!

15.01.2022 Ask the expert we often get asked what the difference is between salt water and chlorine pools. The answer is very little, salt water IS in fact chlorine. Sal...t chlorinators use electrolysis to produce sanitising agents (hypochlorus acid HOCl) from salt water. These are the same sanitising agents that are already commonly used in most swimming pools. Therefore a salt water pool is not actually chlorine-free; it simply utilises a chlorine generator instead of the direct addition of chlorine. See more
