He established Ramsay Health Care in 1964 and was known for his establishment of private hospitals, expanding regional television services, property development, and as a major benefactor to a range of educational, cultural, artistic and sporting organisations. Mr Ramsay was known by his close friends, family and people who have worked with him as a true gentleman and a humble but proud Australian.

We’ve embarked on a 12-month campaign to acknowledge and thank our workforce of more than 30,000 people across hospitals, clinics, day surgeries, pharmacies and corporate areas. At least one person will be profiled from a different part of the country each week for the entire year, allowing them to share some of their motivations and aspirations with the...ir peers. Ramsay Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Carmel Monaghan, said it was wonderful to celebrate a diverse range of employees from all aspects of the business.
