23.01.2022 The grand old house has been a muse for many an artist over the years, with countless works picturing the homestead in all its glory, and even in decline. Here's a beautiful pen drawing from Les W. Jones dated 1980. It gives a really idea of how much work needed to be done to get the house to where it is today.

20.01.2022 It looks like it might be a rainy weekend! It's been a long time coming and is so desperately needed for the whole region, but it'll also do wonders for the beautiful grounds and gardens of Glengallan. What better time to head out and catch up with some old friends in our visitor centre over a steaming hot coffee and some delicious scones with jam and cream. See you there! :)

16.01.2022 One of the most impressive points about the restoration of Glengallan Homestead is the fact that much of the work had to be done based on original photos of the property. You can see that clearly in the drawing room, where the restoration mirrors a photograph of the room taken at the height of its opulence. Same too in the garden, with the modern-day symmetrical beds based on photos taken of the garden in the 1890s. All told it's testimony to some amazing and tireless work from the restorers. It was their hard work and attention to detail that cements Glengallan Homestead as one of the finest examples of our early settlers' heritage.
