25.01.2022 We love this story of Del and Evon who live in one of our sister villages. Everyone has a story, and it often influences their decision to move into a retirement village to make the most of their retirement years. Across our communities we have old friends and family living side-by-side, so this story really struck a chord with us.

25.01.2022 A wonderful morning for our craft, cards, jewellery and wood turning residents holding their Christmas stalls in the Country Club. All proceeds from the day going to local charities. Well done to all the very talented residents and to everyone that came along and purchased some of the lovely items that were for sale.

21.01.2022 Today is Father’s day. Father’s day is a time to reflect and celebrate all the father figures in our lives; dads, stepdads, grandads, uncles, sons, friends and carers. At RetireAustralia we treasure the love they give, the knowledge they share, and the care they show. Not just today, but every day.

20.01.2022 The Glengara Cafe is closed today Monday 8th March. Will reopen tomorrow Tuesday 9th March. Apologies for the inconvenience.

20.01.2022 Today is RUOK day On this RUOK day, and every day, don’t even think twice about reaching out to friends, neighbours, colleagues, and loved ones. Even if they seem OK. It is always better to ask. Because showing that you care, and are willing to listen can make all the difference to someone doing it tough.... Check out the RUOK day website for advice on how to start a conversation, resources and more: http://ow.ly/rDYH50BlF3J

19.01.2022 A lovely Remembrance Day Service was held at Glengara today. We paid special tribute to our two WW2 veterans, Syd and Frank. We then served a sausage sizzle to all those that attended - COVID safe of course. Well done to everyone for putting it all together.

19.01.2022 The significant spike in COVID-19 cases in Victoria, clusters in New South Wales and new cases in South Australia and Queensland are, understandably, a cause for concern amongst many of our residents and their families. Read on for an update on what we are doing to keep our villages COVIDsafe. It’s a team effort, so we want to thank you for the part you are playing by making good choices to keep yourself and your community safe.... http://ow.ly/bxnH50AUOFb

11.01.2022 On Sunday 15th November the first musical afternoon since February was held in the Country Club with the Graham Jackson Quintet and guest vocalist Vince Harris really turning it on. All who attended were certainly in the mood for a day out and they gave the band a standing ovation after their second set. To top it off, popular resident Vicki Turton celebrated her 70th birthday and what a celebration she received. Bar Chair Ray completed the evening with a massive raffle with sponsored prizes won by lots of lucky residents.

07.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun... and in the morning We will remember them. 01.01.2022 More than 100 years ago, at 11am on 11 November 1918, the guns on the Western Front fell silent after four years of the most brutal war the world had seen. In the four years of that war, more than 330,000 Australians served overseas, and over 60,000 had died. Today, on 11 November we mark that anniversary, and remember all those who sacrificed so much for us all, both in WWI, and all the wars, conflicts and operations that have happened since, and still continue today.... We particularly honour and celebrate those among our residents, and their families, who are veterans of conflicts, and hope that you will join us in paying our respects and express our gratitude for all they have given.

01.01.2022 What a lovely memory
