21.01.2022 After more than 4 weeks of dry seeding, it’s nice to be sowing into some moisture for the last part of the program.

20.01.2022 Vaccinating ewes prior to lambing this morning.

20.01.2022 We are seeking a farmhand to help with sheepwork on a sheep and grain farm in Narembeen WA. Please note that the farm is located in the wheatbelt. We currently run 5000 mated ewes plus hoggets. Duties will include feeding sheep with trail feeders, filling lick feeders with a tractor and chaser bin. Also feeding out hay and straw and feeding out lick. Also required to help out with yard work, shearing, preg scanning, and general sheepwork and fencing. Other general farm duti...es also included but it will be generally sheep orientated. Must have current drivers license and have some tractor experience. Some livestock experience, preferably sheep required. This position is expected be for 3-6 months but may lead to long term employment for the right person. Accomodation and evening meal provided. 13.01.2022 After some wet weather, we finally finished up summer shearing today. All the ewes are now shorn and we finished off today by crutching the ram lambs. Thanks to Paradise Shearing and all their crew for doing a clean job. Also a big thanks to all our staff who helped out behind the scenes and managed to get the ripping up done during shearing.

13.01.2022 After a run of dry seasons and dam water at an all time low we’re at it again. This is the 63rd dam we have cleaned in just under two years. The only time the bottom of this one has been seen is over 38 years ago when Brendan and Joe were pretty small . Hopefully we get it finished tomorrow and full soon

11.01.2022 A sad day today at Glengariff as we said goodbye to Erik the Estonian. Starting in March 2017, Erik has been with us on and off since then. Over two and a half years, and 3 cars later, , Erik is off on his next adventure. Thanks for your help Erik and good luck with your future endeavours. Erik Ekbaum

09.01.2022 We are currently looking for workers to join our harvest team. We are seeking a header operator and a chaser bin operator. All modern John Deere equipment on auto steer. Accomodation supplied as well as an evening meal. Applicants must be experienced machinery operators with header and / or tractor experience. Applicants with sound mechanical knowledge will be looked upon favourably. Non smoking workplace. No tolerance for drugs and successful applicant must have clean and sober habits. 07.01.2022 After a very disappointing year, we finally wrapped up harvest today. Harvest was hampered by low yields and high screenings. With 135mm for the calendar year, 2019 will be a year we will gladly forget. Now for the cleanup and back in to fencing and more dam cleaning. A big thanks to all our permanent and casual staff for helping us out this year Glenn, Pancho, Erik Ekbaum, Lewis Goodwin, luke Poppe, Catherine Jones, Eoin Weaver, Steve Gault, John Crean, and anyone else who we’ve forgotten.

03.01.2022 We are currently seeking a General Farmhand for a period of 1-3 months. Duties will involve rock picking, cleaning down and servicing machinery post seeding, pulling down fences, putting up fences, post hole digging,cement work, chainsaw work, sheepwork, and any other general farm work that needs to be done. Labouring experience and trades would be an advantage. Accomodation and limited wifi are provided free of charge but you will be required to provide your own meals. 03.01.2022 We are now flat out into sheep work for the next few weeks. Mulesing has just wrapped up and we are classing sheep this week. Will then be into shearing for a week or so.

01.01.2022 Little bit of seeding preparation happening lately. Fire harrowing some old stubble patches where straw is thin but too long to flow through seeding equipment without causing blockages. Some of the older gear getting a run but still ideal for the job at hand
