25.01.2022 The Development of the Glengarry Education Centre (Book) The Boys’ Brigade Qld recently celebrated the 25th Anniversary since the Turning of the SOD for the Sp...orts Hall at The Glengarry Education Centre. 19.01.2022 The meaning of the Glengarry logo. Many people have asked what the logo represents. Please read the following which will explain the concepts: The Glengarry logo attempts to touch on the different experiences of a camp at the Glengarry Education Centre. Essentially the logo shows four experiences of the Glengarry Education Centre, with a cross at the centre.... The top left area depicts the lake or dam; the bottom left depicts the mountains and open areas; the top right suggests fellowship; and the bottom right suggest both physical activities (eg bike tracks) and spiritual pathways. All are encompassed in a circle, with no beginning or end. The two left areas deal with the physical environment, while the right areas deal with the ministry aspects of the Glengarry Education Centre. The logo includes both the illustrational part and the text part (ie the illustrational part will never be seen just by itself). The actual designs in each part of the circle are intended to be open to interpretation and therefore personalised as it is unlikely that people will recognise what each area design means (or the squiggly lines). The main message still remains of various parts (be it activities, themes or locations) making up the whole.

16.01.2022 Saturday was the celebration of 25 years since the sod was turned at Glengarry on Sunday 28 August 1994. This event was the start of what has become the hidden gem of The Boys' Brigade Qld. We were very honoured to have present for this celebration the former Mayor of the Council of the Shire of Esk, Mrs Jean Bray, who performed the original turning in 1994, the current Mayor of Somerset Regional Council, Cr Graeme Lehmann and Mr Bruce Paterson, the former Executive Chairma...n, The Boys' Brigade Qld and the current President of The Boys' Brigade Qld, Mr Gordon Wallace. Also on Saturday we had the launch of the book about The Construction Of Glengarry which was written and produced by Ross Rippingale who was the Principla Project Cordinator and builder for this project. A graet day and thanks to all who made it such a memorable time. Please have a look at the original Dedication Programme from 1994. See more
