18.01.2022 Atkinson Dam has water in it, not much, but looking good. The grass is growing and the whole site now looks great.

18.01.2022 Tuesday The guys have finished the pour and are now finishing off the first slab and setting up for the second slab tomorrow. Was an early start with 12 truckloads of cement. A well oiled team. Do it all again tomorrow.

17.01.2022 Wednesday saw another early start for concreting of the second court. This part of the construction has been completed with the final fitout in mid to late July. This is an exicting time for us all and looking forward to seeing the completed project. Stay tuned for more. Thanks to all the guys involved from Premier Sports and Leisure, it has been a pleasure to work with you all.

16.01.2022 The build continues. After a cold 2 deg start the line marking has commenced with still more to come. The plan is to finish this week. We had a visit today from our Federal member, Shayne Neumann MP. He was very impressed with the changes since his last visit.

13.01.2022 The Final Phase of the ball court build commenced last Wednesday. This phase involved painting the surface, installing all the equipment, and fitting gates. Wednesday saw the courts washed, Thursday saw the first coat for the playing area and Friday was second coat and first on the outer areas. Also the basketball towers were commenced. Next week will see the second coat and linemarking, completing the install of equipment and installing the gates. Now it all starts to change.

08.01.2022 Just an update for any who hear about an Emergency Declaration regarding a fire near Lowood. Glengarry is in the exclusion zone as declared at 4.45pm today. However the fire is in the area of Patricks Estate which is quite a way from Glengarry. We are monitoring the situation.

07.01.2022 Saturday was the celebration of 25 years since the sod was turned at Glengarry on Sunday 28 August 1994. This event was the start of what has become the hidden gem of The Boys' Brigade Qld. We were very honoured to have present for this celebration the former Mayor of the Council of the Shire of Esk, Mrs Jean Bray, who performed the original turning in 1994, the current Mayor of Somerset Regional Council, Cr Graeme Lehmann and Mr Bruce Paterson, the former Executive Chairma...n, The Boys' Brigade Qld and the current President of The Boys' Brigade Qld, Mr Gordon Wallace. Also on Saturday we had the launch of the book about The Construction Of Glengarry which was written and produced by Ross Rippingale who was the Principla Project Cordinator and builder for this project. A graet day and thanks to all who made it such a memorable time. Please have a look at the original Dedication Programme from 1994. See more
