24.01.2022 Our Before and After School Care program needs your support. Our Before and After School Care Service, operated by In2Learning Gippsland, is an important part of our school. With the current usage amongst our school community, we have been informed that it is not sustainable to keep operating the program with these low numbers.... A short survey has been prepared by Kerry Henry, the director of the service to gather information in regards to whether it can keep operating. The service is important to our school and a great asset for our working families. If you have thought about using it, now is the time to act. You can access the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/635BJPF

21.01.2022 After many years of service, WR Cleaning has decided to not continue cleaning our school. We would like to thank Wendy and her team for their professionalism and service over many years. The search is now on for a new cleaning contractor for our school. We would appreciate any schools or school contacts pointing this out to their cleaning contractor or contacts. Details below..... Glengarry Primary School is a rural school of approximately 170 students, located only a short... drive from Traralgon in the Latrobe Valley, Gippsland, Victoria. The Victorian Government is committed to ensuring that all government schools receive consistent, high-quality cleaning, and that cleaning staff receive their legal wages and entitlements. In addition to this, Glengarry Primary takes pride in providing a high quality school environment for all members of our school community. We are currently requesting expressions of interest from cleaning contractors to clean Glengarry Primary School. Cleaning contractors are required to attend an individual site inspection at which all contract documents will be available. An individual site inspection can be booked by phoning 03 5192 4292 during business hours. All individual site inspections are to be conducted by 4:00pm on Thursday 3rd September, 2020. After this date, cleaning contractors will have 2 weeks to submit their quotes. All quotes must be submitted by 4:00pm on Thursday 17th September, 2020. All applicants must have Department approved cleaning panel status to clean any Victorian government school.

11.01.2022 This week for Kitchen Garden & Art we would like to create a 'Spoonville' at school, you may have seen them around the streets or on the internet. What you need to do is get a wooden spoon and decorate it so it looks like yourself or someone else (you can design it however you want). Then when you are out for a walk or bike ride you can put it in the front garden at school, where we are going to create a 'Glengarry Primary School Spoonville' (I will set this up Tuesday afternoon). Have fun designing your spoon, can't wait to see what you come up with. Don't forget to write your name on the back of the spoon. This could be a good activity to do on 'Wellbeing Wednesday'. There are some photos attached to give you some ideas. Have fun

06.01.2022 Feel Good Friday Week 2! This weeks feel good Friday theme centers around our school value "Joy". We are encouraging students and families to take a moment to appreciate something that brings you Joy. Being able to find, create and experience Joy during challenging times can often be difficult. That is why we are taking the time to make it a priority for all of our GPS community this week. You can do this by: - Taking the time to do something that brings you Joy on Friday... - Taking or drawing a picture of something that brings you joy - Talking about what brings you joy with your family - Taking the time to bring Joy to someone else in your house - Sharing the things that bring you Joy with your class mates during class meetings on Friday. 01.01.2022 PE and Kitchen Garden - Week 6 Good morning everyone, hope you had a great weekend. PE - I would like you to get outside (not in the rain though) go for a walk/run/bike ride and look around you - can you spell your name (or someone else's or one of your spelling words for the week) using street signs or signs around your area, can you find objects (like a shop or a item in the garden) to spell out your name. Have fun with it, if you want to take photos of your items and po...st them that would be great. How far did you have to walk/run/bike ride to find the items? Enjoying looking around your area to see what you can find. Kitchen Garden - how can you help Mum or Dad this week with cooking or in the garden, I'm sure there are lots of weeds growing at the moment? Let me know what you do or show me some photos?
