22.01.2022 GOOD NEWS! Telehealth has been extended for another 6 months to March 2021. We strongly support the choice for patients of telephone or video consultations as well as face to face consultations as we all continue to manage this pandemic.... The Government directive to bulk bill certain patient groups will cease and from the 1st October our normal fees will apply. We want our patients to know while we are very grateful for this Government change as it will secure the viability of our practice, we are also aware that some of our patients will be under significant financial distress due to the pandemic and encourage these patients to speak directly with their Doctors. Many of our patients have expressed the hope that telehealth will be a service we continue to provide, and we have made the decision that we will offer telephone and video consultations for our patients ongoing.

12.01.2022 Be aware of COVID-19 vaccine scams! We are advising Australians to be vigilant about scammers using calls, SMS and emails to take advantage of the COVID-19 vacc...ination rollout. Do not provide your personal details over the phone or click on any links within an email or text message before checking the source is legitimate. Important facts about the COVID-19 vaccination rollout: You should not be asked by anyone (other than your doctor or medical professional) to provide any personal or financial information over the phone, email or SMS to get access to, or information about, the vaccination. The vaccination is free - you will not be asked to pay a fee to get vaccinated, to book an appointment or go on a waiting list. You cannot get early access to the vaccine. You must meet the Government’s eligibility criteria for the current phase. You will not need a prescription from a doctor to get the vaccine. The vaccine will not be sent to you in the mail. Self-vaccination and self-test kits are not legal to sell or advertise in Australia. Approved vaccination advertisements/information will not include any reference to a brand name or manufacturer. If in doubt, or for more information, contact the Australian Government Department of Health's COVID-19 vaccine helpline on 1800 020 080 or visit health.gov.au. The ACMA is also warning consumers about current email COVID-19 vaccine scams that attempt to trick you into providing your personal or financial information, including: offering opportunities to invest in a vaccine company asking you to complete a vaccine related survey to win a prize. You can make a report and/or find out more about COVID-19 scams at Scamwatch. https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/ Scammers target everyone!
