The main changes include: changing fee caps and structures changing warning notice requirements improving public access to applicable Australian Standards requiring certificates of non-compliance to be entered into the Swimming Pools Register providing greater flexibility for the way in which spa pools can be secured.

01.01.2022 Strata Building Bond and Inspections Scheme has now commenced From 1 January 2018 any contract entered into by a developer and builder for the construction a re...sidential or partly-residential building of 4 storeys or more will come under the new scheme which will require the developer to lodge a building bond with Fair Trading equal to 2% of the contract price. The bond will be used to pay the costs of rectifying any defective building work identified in a final inspection report.
