06.01.2022 A student perspective of our current border restrictions. Please say a prayer for our NSW girls and families. The current NSW/QLD border closures are taking a toll on our NSW boarding girls and their families. There are currently no exceptions for students and their parents. Students can't travel home without having to do a quarantine on return (which cannot be done at school); parents cannot come to visit students unless they do a 14 day quarantine; and if our NSW student...s return home for the Spring school holidays they'll have to do a quarantine with a parent in government-arranged accommodation at the family's expense and miss the first two weeks of Term 4. We spoke with some of our NSW boarders to find out how they are feeling, how they are supporting each other and what we can do to support them during this stressful time. Our QLD Glennie community can support our boarders with some home-baked treats to add a touch of home to the boarding houses and families can offer to host a boarder for a weekend. For our boarding families needing some support, our wonderful Boarder Parent Support Group is only a phone call away.
