25.01.2022 Glenn Richards and Footstomp Music have parted ways.

24.01.2022 The last two shows of the duo tour coming up this week. Thursday at the Brass Monkey at Cronulla and Friday at Notes at Newtown. There are still a few tickets available from the venues. See you there.

23.01.2022 The last Victorian shows of the Glenn Richards and Dan Luscombe duo shows are coming up this weekend. Friday night at the Bended Elbow in Geelong - tickets from www.oztix.com.au and Saturday at the Caravan Music Club in Oakleigh - tickets from www.caravanmusic.com.au. Their mate Mike Noga is the main support. Enjoy!

22.01.2022 apologies for the fool interrupted, here's what actually happened. The Arthouse will close soon. First ever Augie gig was at the Arthouse, first gig I saw in Melbourne was at the Arthouse, The Dead Salesmen were the band. Here's Hap and Ryder last night, by their good graces, telling the story. Enjoy.

21.01.2022 Glenn A Richards Cannot be bought. Is thus priceless. http://blogs.crikey.com.au//bob-browns-bitch-is-not-a-goo/ Bob Brown’s bitch is not a good look for Tony Abbott The Stump... blogs.crikey.com.au If you are like most of the swinging voters I have observed from behind the one way glass over the years you will be quite turned off but it. 20.01.2022 Hi all, I don't do the Facebooks often, only to share the odd choice metal clip or a random scatter of symbols and letters, which ever happened to take the brunt of my forehead or cheek. So it's obviously something big that's got me out of the oblivion cave and to be frank I don't think this little community is prepared for it. What I'm going to do now is something, to the best of my knowledge, that has never been done here before. I'm going to promote myself. There, it's... done. Even that small preparatory run up was probably a bit ground breaking. This Saturday the 25th June I will be taking to the stage of the Gasometer Hotel in Collingwood for a very rare performance with my good friend and fellow Augie bloke Kiernan Box. We'll do stuff from every Augie release and maybe even my extraordinary solo record Glimjack, me on the electrified and the wooden guitar, and Boxer on every other instrument that's been invented so far. Matt Habben will not only support us with his street hard trio, the Matt Habben Transfer, but he's promised to get up off the floor of whatever bathroom we designate the support act's dressing room and join us for a number of tunes. This will be the last GR performance for a good while as I'll be heading to Europe for some time before reuniting with Augie March for a show or two later in the year. Let's face it folks, I don't get out much anymore. Speaking of Europe. The last time I was in Amsterdam I ran out of money and couldn't afford to pay the public toilet guy for a wee - at the time they were cracking down on street pissing, and probably a good thing - so I had to wait until he himself went for a wee and then I took my chance. There were many lovely things in Amsterdam but that moment still resonates most for me. Of all her gentle canals and brooking ways, her celestial bongs with 'beaded bubbles winking at the brim', her cobbled banks slick with the eternal currency of hard rain then soft, and, yes, piss too, it is that pristine, one euro per splash water closet which holds the title of Netherlands aquatic surligner pour moi. Then there was the last time I was in Edinburgh and the only vegetarian fare I could afford was what they call 'pizza' over there. Have you eaten a pizza in Edinburgh? In the off season? I gave it to a homeless man and he threw it in the bin disgustedly. If you want to stop things like this happening to me over and over again, and they will in Europe, then come down and see me play, give me your money and I'll give you my song craft. It's a fair trade.

19.01.2022 Who is coming along to one (or more) of the many shows on the tour in September? Dates here: http://www.facebook.com/glennrichardsmusic?sk=events

17.01.2022 A few pictures from the tour so far. Geelong and Oakleigh, you're next!

16.01.2022 Starting to see Angry's angle too : http://www.abc.net.au/news/photos/2011/03/23/3171481.htm

16.01.2022 Hi all, if there's any of you left, it's been a while. A couple of things, just letting you know I don't monitor this page or any FB page as I have been asked about it a bit. I'm hoping to change that in the future and revamp the thing. There's plenty of GR and Augie on the horizon so keep tuned, and keep reading after this one

15.01.2022 Who's coming out to the shows this week in Newcastle, Kincumber and Canberra!!

15.01.2022 Hi, Glenn here. Will be in Melbourne on the 16th to play Gen Fest, benefit for an ailing friend. Pretty sure Dave will be skinning for the Dan Kelly Dream Band as well. Donno may be providing support for the bar, Atlas like. https://corner.ticketscout.com.au/gigs/321-gen-fest-2012 Get along dawgs, will be special

15.01.2022 On Friday April 7th I'll be in Melbourne to play a special show with a bunch of old friends and musos. It's not only a very good line-up, it's for a very dear friend and I'd love you to spread the word and make it a night to remember and give her some much needed support in her ongoing battle. xg https://www.facebook.com/events/1174400726006141/

12.01.2022 Had a ball in Perth folks, followed by a nice break in Tassie. Thanks to all who came and to the ECU Coopers night and the Indi Bar people, treated us like princes. How refreshing, thanks again.

09.01.2022 quick one to say thank you for the great turn out with short notice Saturday night. Had a lot of fun, superb audience, great room, great mix, great staff, 2 hours of give and take. Cheers to the Gaso and cheers to you Augie folks, turned back the clock and gave you a feeling for the shape of the next few years too. Imagine that with all the band plus horns and a string section and you have the NGV show coming up 16 Sep. PS, Some people told me they'd messaged me here after the other post I made, just letting you know I log in, post, then log out. I'm like Peter Dutton in a Santa Claus outfit. No presence. (with apologies to Rudy)

08.01.2022 Victorian shows this week guys. Hope to see you there.

08.01.2022 If you missed it earlier this week- Glenn Richards & Dan Luscombe do a selection of Augie and GR as well as the odd obscure cover this weekend in Perth. Having played to some big crowds at the Mona opening in Hobart and the Spiegeltent in Adelaide, Glenn and Dan are starting to take this sweet little show on the road - harmonies, guitars both powered and unpowered, piano and unrehearsed banter.

07.01.2022 Beat magazine had some kind words to say about our first show of the tour in Melbourne. Tasmania you're up next!

04.01.2022 Nice shirts, tightish black jeans and quite possibly pointy boots. You may even be moved in some way. It's song folks. Good, hard earned, well played song. Come along, buy them a drink, leave them in the wrong suburb.

01.01.2022 OK Tassie. Gigs tonight at the Manhattan Wine Bar in Launceston and tomorrow night at the Grand Poobah in Hobart. See you soon.

01.01.2022 Howdy, I'll be Rockwizzing all over the stage at the following events: 17-April - West Coast Bluesfest 22-April - East Coast Bluesfest 29-April - Sydney Comedy Festival 30-April - Sydney Comedy Festival. Among the luminaries Timmy Rogers, Henry Wagons, Jess Cornelius and more. I'll be doing my best not to completely destroy "Make it Easy on Yourself" for my duet partner Marcia Hines. Ciao
