25.01.2022 Headed out in the rain this morning and it wasnt long before the sun was shining and the rain had gone. Hooked up the prime mover and lead and headed to CBH Albany where we unloaded the trailer. Back to the yard and unhooked. Missed the rain again. Thanks for the call mate.

25.01.2022 Had the big girl out winching again today. Bit stormy down this way last night , hence some trees over the road. Old mate went to go around a fallen tree and nearly fell over himself. There wasn't a lot of rubber on the road, daylight under the outside tyres and not much rubber on the road from the inside set. Hooked her up and winched her out. Happy faces from the manager and driver. Cheers for the call.

25.01.2022 Went to my workshop yesterday for a couple hours, then off to my eldest grandsons 5th birthday party. Just got back to work and the phone rang. Dale needed the HEAVY HOOKA 2 bout 20 k south of the roadtrain hook up area so off we go. All hooked up and delivered to west Cranbrook. Thanks for the call Dale. The big girl loves the cold night air.

24.01.2022 In amongst the rain yesterday we had a window of clear sky and a call to rescue this road train. We headed out east to where she had blown a turbo, hooked her up and towed the whole unit bout 10 kms to a truck bay where we dropped the trailers and carried on to Albany with the prime mover. Widening of the roads is good but we need more truck bays. Thanks for your call Craig.

22.01.2022 Had a call from old mate this arvo. Said his truck gave a bit of a rattle, no warning lights or alarms, hit the clutch and she shut down. Didnt sound too happy so hooked her up and into Albany we go. Ready for some lovin. Thanks for the call mate. Glad your customer still got taken care off. Cheers.

21.01.2022 Headed out west of Tenterden this avro to a truck roll over. One lucky driver. Stood her up and delivered her to the owners farm. Thanks to all that assisted at the scene.

20.01.2022 Had an early morning call asking for assistance to stand a trailer up and clear the road . About 20 kms west of Jerramungup we go. Was never good at jigsaw puzzles and today was no different. Flicked the trailer back onto its wheels and then loaded all the pieces into what was left of the tanks, strapped it all down and headed back to the Broome Hill whete we had to stop for a train. First time i ever seen the Broome Hill rail way lights flashing. unhooked the big girl and... off to the rescue again. Had a second call while on my way out to the roll over in regards to a truck that needed towing as she wouldnt went. Got back to Albany and snuck the HEAVY HOOKA into the caravan park where the truck was parked, hooked her up and off to the doctors. Bit of a tight squeeze at the caravan park but got in and out without any problems. Cheers to all for the calls and assistance today. See more

20.01.2022 Thanks to Farmers Centre Team Albany for the job towing this Chaser bin to Jerramungup. Just parked the HEAVY HOOKA 2 in the shed and the phone rang again. Thanks Ben for the call. Got to rescue this big girl from the round about this afternoon as she failed something gear box related. Cleared the round about and had trafic flowing just like normal in no time. .

20.01.2022 Off up the highway yesterday morning to rescue this water cart that had diff problems. There was not too many drivers that obeyed the slowmo. Obviously the HEAVY Hooka with all the lights flashing is invisible. The second job was towing a prime mover that got cleaned up about a month ago to the panel beaters were the assessors will go over her. Cheers for the calls guys.

20.01.2022 Got a call from Hellen this morning asking if I could assist them in recovering their truck and trailer and re opening the road. Headed out west of Kendenup today and found a truck on its side, a trailer chassis in the gutter and the bowl on the other side of the road. We set about our job and flipped the truck back on its wheels and parked her on the side of the road and allowed the traffic through. We then set up and lifted the chassis out of the gutter and lowered it on t...o the drop deck. Picked up the bowl and backed the whole unit down the road to the cross roads where another truck and trailer was waiting. We loaded the bowl onto the trailer and then lifted the truck and set it up for towing. Headed back to Mount Barker where we dropped her off. Another happy customer and a lucky driver. Thanks to all with the machinery for cleaning up the road. Glad to help out. Cheers See more

17.01.2022 Today marks the end of my third year operating the HEAVY HOOKA. I have learnt alot about towing and busines in general. Having an absolute blast. We had a trip out to Needilup this morning to pick up a prime mover and lead. Think she shat the front diff. Towed her down to CBH and unloaded trailer ,then took it to the yard and parked the prime mover in the workshop ready for some attention. Thanks to everyone for your support over the past 3 years and look forward to serving you all in the future. CHEERS

08.01.2022 Well some one got a gentle reminder tonight. You must always give way to the vehicles on your right. Trucks dont stop on a dime and cars dont come off to well when they pull out in front of trucks. I think the driver of the car was a bit lucky tonight. Could have been a lot worse. Thanks for the call Jim. Hope your truck is not out of action for too long.

05.01.2022 Had a little run out the Hiway this morning to a truck that decided that limp mode was too fast and decided to shut down all together. Hooked her up and onto CJD we go. Thanks for the call Simon.

05.01.2022 Had a quick job from town to CJD in Albany a couple of days ago. Electronics playing up so she had no forward or reverse action happening. Thanks for the call Les.

01.01.2022 Had a distress call this morning. Old mate took a wrong turn and ended up bogged. He wasn't going anywhere without the aid of the HEAVY HOOKA 2. Hooked a winch on the bogged tanker and dragged her out. Reset the tow truck and dragged her out some more. And a third time and all sorted. Back to the workshop, run th ed winch c a blow out and cracked up the hot wash. The old cable was covered in fine sand so needed a good clean. Run the cable back on and lubed up ready for the next call. Thanks for the call today Wayne. Glad we got you sorted Darrin. Cheers

01.01.2022 Got a call from Kasey late this arvo. Their truck had an issue with the front left wheel and was parked 30k. North of Katanning. I arrived to find the wheel on a fairly good lean. Thinking i bet when I lift the front of the truck the wheel will probably fall off and it did. Reminded me of Kenny Rodgers. You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel. One lucky truckie. Got a lift with the wheel , thanks Matt . And off to Wagin Truck Centre where I was met by Zac who unlocked the yard for me. All done and dusted and now snooze time as I am in Albany again. Cheers all.

01.01.2022 Had the big girl out twice today doing winch jobs. A delivery truck stuck in a back yard and tonight a tilt tray with a broken down truck on her back also got stuck. Used both winches, one to pull and one to stop her falling over. Wouldnt have been a good look with it all laying on its side. The big girl makes life so much easier. Thanks for the call guys.
