23.01.2022 Just in case you missed my previous post! Introducing my new 3 way 2500w powered boxes. I have spent 6 months designing and making them and have done 3 gigs wi...th them. The real test this Saturday with Stand and Deliver in Geelong! They match up perfectly with my double 18 in subs which have already proven themselves. I will probably make some RFL 3 way wedges next. I am building them for hire however I have a lot of interested people asking if I will be making them to sell. One thing at a time! See more

22.01.2022 Have trialled the e904's and now have four of them. Also have introduced a Radial JDI passive Di into the "A" mic kit. Along with Shure Beta 58's, I think I have now sorted out the best mic kit available!

21.01.2022 The D5 3 way powered speaker is well under way. The components have all been fitted and now its time to glue, screw and finish the box ready for testing and tuning!

20.01.2022 They are finished! 1st gig last night at Metropolis. Series RFL 3 way 2500 watt powered speakers made right here in Melbourne! (By me!) I am pleased to say they sounded great and attracted some good attention too. They have a clear bright sound and ran well under their limits.

20.01.2022 Just added 2 EV 12in wedges to my hire stock. Good bright sound. Will probably aquire 2 more next year.

20.01.2022 I have added 2 sections of stage as drum risers. Each section is 1.2m x 1.8m which is a tad shorter than my regular stage sections. This makes a bit more room for singers in the front. They come with 300 mm legs or 500 mm legs. A special feature is that they have 2 extra pieces of bracing underneath for rock solid stability with a drum kit. $80 + GST per night for a pair.

19.01.2022 Last Sunday at Gumbuya World we set up this System. I now have 4 x EV ETX35p to match the 4 Double 18 in subs, total system power is 16k watts running off 3 phase power. The sound was powerful and clear thou the cold weather meant the crowd size was down a bit. Gumbuya world is pretty cool now!

18.01.2022 The Pandemic and following lockdown has keep us shut since March ( 8 months) with the opening now in sight. However, the time has not being wasted! Almost every grey case has been refurbished and repainted ! When we do open up, we are going to be lookin' goood! I can't see us opening for the end of year run, which is going to be very hard for everyone involved in events and entertainment.... However, we will be still here when things do open up and happy to take bookings now with an understanding that they may not go ahead if the virus is still around.

17.01.2022 I have a new leg of hire. Back line hire now includes 2 Fender guitar amps, a GK bass amp, Yamaha Custom Tour Drum Kit and Roland Juno DS keyboard. Top line Fender, Galien Kreuger and Yamaha gear in new or new condition.The drum kit includes brand new Sabien PST7 cymbals. Delivery only, no garage pick up.

17.01.2022 Just added an Epsom EB U-140 projector to my hire stock. It is a full 1080p HDMI HD projector at 4000 Lumens. It also has the ability to project from the side as well as from the front. This will make a great addition to the 2 65 in LED screens for hire.

16.01.2022 A small update. I am trialling the Sennheiser e904 Tom mic. I am confident it will be great. Till now I have been using Behringer XM8500 mics. I originally bought these to inexpensively upgrade my mic collection. They turned out to be very good! However, they are quite heavy and large on a Tom Tom, and the K @ M mic clip does not suit some drums.

16.01.2022 Just added a Midas DL32 stage box to compliment my X32 desks. It's long over due and will lift the quality of bigger shows to an even more profession level.

15.01.2022 A new addition. It's a Radial passive high quality stereo DI for keyboards etc. I've been using Behringer Ultra DI's for years and while they have been very reliable, they are a little noisy. This DI will compliment the mono Radial DI I bought recently.

15.01.2022 The laser cut grills have finally arrived and my single 18 in subs are complete and ready to go! I will give these a workout at the George Hotel, Sth. Melb. this Saturday with local band 'Afterburner'. Please feel free to come along!

15.01.2022 While things are a bit quieter during winter time to upgrade. 2 new double 18 in subs and 2 new single 18 in subs. Built rock solid and will compliment existing subs and mid top bins.

14.01.2022 New gear for 2016! 10 x Battery powered LED uplights. A great idea to colour up your event space! Put them anywhere, no cables or power pionts required!

13.01.2022 I have been using the down time in January to produce 2 new 18 in subs. I have found commercially available subs tend to vibrate and rattle reducing their performance. These subs are made from highest grade timber, screws and glue. They have special bracing that connect all the sides together minimise vibration and eliminate rattling. Just waiting for the company that makes the laser cut aluminium grills for me and then they go out to gigs!

10.01.2022 Hey Folks, no doubt these are tough times here in Melbourne with no visible light at the end of the tunnel for events! Just letting you all know my business is safely in hibernation and will patiently wait this out. I have no plans to sell up and will be ready to roll when all this finishes! 08.01.2022 I would like to share my experience with these plugs. From my experience these older Neutric plugs have given me heaps of problems when used in Audio and DMX situations. I am replacing all of them with the newer style plugs. The old ones have caused erratic DMX and Audio behaviour. High quality gear ruined by poor quality reputable brand plugs. It seems to only affect the female plugs.

08.01.2022 I have recently acquired a Roland V40-HD video switcher which will allow me to input any video source, including HDMI,VGA, composite and also iPhone and iPad video, then resize the picture and output to LED screens, projectors etc in full HD quality! Down the track this will be useful for live multi cam video shoots including bands and blogs etc.

08.01.2022 To compliment my Double 18in subs and 3way drum monitor I am now have a powered 3way mid-top box on the way! 2500w RMS tri amp with masive 200w horn and 350w/400w bass and mid drivers!

06.01.2022 My new D5 3 way hi-powered prototype boxes are now fully assembled except for front grills. Next step is to fully test and tune them, including frequency response, EQ, crossover points and type, limiters, delays etc. Once that is done, grills attached and onto real gig evaluation. The D5 is a 3 way powered box with 2500 w power including a huge 200 watt horn driver for greatest clarity at high volumes.

06.01.2022 To install this wedding ceremony stage over a garden bed investment in new longer legs were required! Now we can supply stages up to 1 metres high with steps and on sloping ground too!

06.01.2022 Upgrades for the busy season ! The 'A' rack is now fully D class amps with 2 new NU 6000 DSP's. With 2100w per ch into 4 ohms, they can be reconfigured from Bi- amp to sub amps at the touch of a button. And light wieght too at 5.5 kg each!

03.01.2022 First AV gig tonight hiring two screens with Roland AV mixer and small sound system. It's a new leg of my business expanding on Pa, lighting and stage hire.

01.01.2022 Probably the last case I will make his year before silly season! It is for 4 'BBQ Plates' that are the bases for lighting stands. They are heavy, hurt your hands when carried and damage gear in the truck. Not any more! Phil, Marcus and Jesse should like this!
