18.01.2022 FUNDRAISER CANCELLATION...... MAGIC NUMBER The fundraiser committee would like to advise you of the unfortunate cancellation of our magic number fundraiser. Although fundraising is an integral part of our group, we were not able to find enough support to make this feasible. A decision was made not to continue as it may have put the group in a position of losing money. As a result we are happy to refund everyone’s tickets in full. This may take about 7 days so please be pat...ient. We will contact everyone to make arrangements. Sincere thanks to those families who did support us, and we acknowledge your kindness. There was no draw last night.

07.01.2022 With a very heavy heart, Glenorchy Scouts has made the difficult decision to cancel our Krispy Kreme fundraiser. We have found ourselves in too much uncertainty about being able to distribute orders. There were just too any variables to navigate. We have been so touched with the community support we have received. All payments will be refunded. Those who have ordered via Eventbrite will have their refund processed within the week. These funds were very much needed to keep our club running at the level we believe our members deserve. Our Parent Committee extends its hand of gratitude to those who supported us and hope may consider to do so again. Please let me know if there are any concerns about your refunds or orders.

07.01.2022 As with many community groups, Glenorchy Scouts have suffered at the hands of COVID19, but thanks to our amazing leaders, our group are still able to come together to learn and share. From virtual camp outs to online learning, our Group is still demonstrating enthusiasm, zest and resilience. Some of the online sessions our Scout pack is undertaking this term are being hosted by the Scouts themselves. Topics include: Destruction/Reconstruction; preparing for camp; first aid, the environment and more. Thank you leaders, parents and participants for you enthusiasm and support in these challenging times.

04.01.2022 TIME TO WIN SOME $$$$$ - MAGIC NUMBER Glenorchy Scouts are running a Magic Number fundraiser. We are selling 100 x $5 numbers and 100 x $10 numbers. Your number will go into the draw for cash prizes EVERY WEEK FOR 10 WEEKS.... Draws will be done on a Wednesday beginning September 16th and run throughout 4th term (Term time only). Numbers will be drawn through a random number generator. Money will be direct deposited into your nominated account. 1 number - 10 weeks. Can’t get better than that! Pick a number between 1-100 $5 number = $25 cash every week $10 number = $50 cash every week If a number is drawn that has not been sold, the unclaimed prize will jackpot to the following week. Separate draws will be made for the $5 and $10 numbers. The earlier you buy your number - the more chances you have. Numbers will not be valid until they have been paid for. Glenorchy Scouts is a non-profit community organisation. We rely heavily on fundraising to help support the ongoing maintenance, leader training, equipment and programs offered to our young boys and girls. Your support can help make a difference.

03.01.2022 Sooo excited! Our first MAGIC NUMBER draw is happening tonight. $250 or $500 up for grabs over the next 10 weeks. Tonight’s jackpots for a $5 number is $25 and a $10 number is $50. Remember buying 1 number gets you into the draw for 10 weeks! That’s only 50c or $1 a week! You can still purchase throughout the 10 weeks, however you just won’t have as many chances.
