23.01.2022 Another successful week with good numbers Thursday 95 people & today 119. We are still having a few technical issues with announcing numbers (not all games)... The BINGO Team thank you for your patience as frustrating as it is, we are working on it. Our Tech guy is in Melb and unable to get to us until Vic restrictions ease. However we looking into and will have another ph telecommunication hookup early next week to, fingers crossed remove this hiccup. Thanks again Have a great weekend and see you next week

Obviously things are changing daily, we will be starting slow and may have limited numbers with a few other temporary changes/rules due to covoid19. This is for everyones safety and will only be whilst we work at getting back to our normal bingo.... We will be putting out something within the next day or so. 16.01.2022 As of yesterday's announcement on the News, Stage 3 and numbers ALLOWED we are excited to announce that... MAGPIE BINGO is back!! Yes, it's official.... ** Magpie Bingo returns to KGV on Thursday 2nd July and Friday 3rd July, with temporary rules (subject to Covid-19 restriction changes) Eyes down will be 7pm on Thursday and 11am on Friday. Doors will open 6pm on Thursday and 10am on Friday & not before these times. Please note: Entry will not be allowed unless you have signed in. We will have someone on the door at entry. Seating is arranged in accordance with Covid-19 physical distancing requirements. Seats must remain where they are placed and not be moved. There will be 6 people ONLY per table. All Games must be purchased on entry. For the opening week there will be No Promo game on Friday. No Canteen, tea, or coffee but BYO Food and drink. Take-aways available from Nita’s Café. It is also Your responsibility to remove your rubbish. We apologise for the imposition of these rules, but we are sure you will be excited to get back to Bingo and will be willing to comply with the regulations so that we can continue playing. There is nothing more important than the health, safety and wellbeing of all our friends and supporters, and this is now more important than ever as we adjust to the strong measures taken to mitigate risks associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic. 16.01.2022 Dear Magpie Bingo team As valued members and supporters of the Magpies and Magpie Bingo, I’d like to update you on your club’s position regarding the ever-evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Obviously, with the new government restrictions now in place, all the core operations of our club have now been suspended our senior football teams, our junior club, our bar, function centre and bingo. The rules around social distancing have meant our bar, function centre and bin...go cannot operate at this time. Unfortunately, due to the restrictions now in place, The Federal Group has advised that they will have to defer our Sunday 19 April event at Wrest Point until a date to be advised. We have set our June event as our next target date. We hope you are all well and observing all guidelines issued by the Government. Together we can beat this. 09.01.2022 Dear GDFC Magpie Bingo members, We are writing to wish you and the whole Magpie Bingo Team a happy and safe Easter. There is nothing more important than the health, safety and wellbeing of all our friends and supporters, and this is now more important than ever as we adjust to the strong measures taken to mitigate risks associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic. ... As you have all been informed, the new social restrictions prevent many clubs, groups and associations such as ours from operating as normal. The current Coronavirus crisis has magnified just how important and needed that community work is. In the past two weeks the demand for services like the Food Bank based in Moonah and the First Choice Food Co-op based in West Moonah has grown significantly. At the same time, some of their older volunteers have understandably taken a break in order to protect their own health. Thankfully, our club is stepping up to help fill the breach, with coaches, players, board members, staff, former players and friends of the club volunteering their time to ensure food is getting to those who urgently need it at this time. This has seen the creation of our new Northern Heartland Community Project in partnership with RSEA Safety, meaning this work will now continue long after the Coronavirus situation, adding to the football-related work we already do in the community.
