24.01.2022 Jane in search of white caps in her new coastal rowing boat

24.01.2022 Water on Saturday was great for crew boats & coastal rowing boats (smaller boats all stayed on their racks).

21.01.2022 Christmas gathering at the club this morning. Bit too windy to sign carols from sculls in front of MONA this year.

20.01.2022 A picturesque sight for an early morning winter row on Elwick Bay. (Thanks to Ash for the video.)

19.01.2022 GRC COVID-19 Safety Plan GRC COVID-19 Risk Assessment Easing of State restrictions So we are ready to get back into . Restart date is set for Saturday 11 July 2020. We will gather at the Clubrooms at 9am to make a rowing plan for the rest of the season. As usual, come prepared for all possibilities - a row; a gym session; &/or a & chat.

18.01.2022 Something to help keep you rowing ready while we are taking a break to help slow the transmission curve.

17.01.2022 On Saturday 5th December, GRC acknowledged the dedication and hard work of two of the club’s honorary life members. Morning tea was followed by the naming of the club’s new coastal rowing double after Tasmanian rowing stalwart Paul Harvey. We also paid tribute to Leon Carr who recently stepped down as club president after an incredible 20 years of service. Current and past GRC members extend their gratitude for the commitment you've both shown to the club over many years.

14.01.2022 Mixed morning in the weather front. Singles came in early as the wind got up but by the tme the bigger boats got back to the ways the water had flattened out.

14.01.2022 Yesterday morning early it was too rough for rowing on Elwick Bay, but late morning today perfect, so our youngest member and our oldest member made the most of the conditions.

14.01.2022 Very high tide on this windy morning.

14.01.2022 Love those high vis colours out on the water.

13.01.2022 It's so good to have this area at the front on the Clubrooms clear of the left over old pontoon frame. Looks so good we're thinking of planting something there .

12.01.2022 What a great view around Elwick Bay. Nice water for a morning row. Thanks Ash for sharing the videos.

11.01.2022 Rowing Australia has made a video on rowing & COVID 19. Check this link to view. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10158595531032922&id=149838582921

10.01.2022 Sadly, nothing happening here for the time being . In line with recommendations from Rowing Australia and Rowing Tasmania, all activities have been cancelled at our club. We'll let you know when we can get back to & and other fun activities. In the meantime, if anyone finds a great solo indoor activity to keep us motivated & fit then please share.

07.01.2022 Bit and foggy this morning to go rowing. Perfect for a morning of maintenance as there's always something to do about the boat shed.

06.01.2022 No rowing for us this morning . We sure wish we had some coastal rowing boats.

02.01.2022 Reminder to continue to be vigilant as debris can be found in the river for some time after heavy rains.

01.01.2022 We had perfect water on Elwick Bay this morning for our weekend row.

01.01.2022 Chris looking very confident in his first row in Geoff's SuperRoo
