25.01.2022 It was a bit of a bird day today. This marvellous creature brought in after a likely altercation with a car... and the X-ray revealed a fractured ulna. We sent him to a wonderful wildlife carer with a wing bandage for rest and recreation!! Here’s hoping it does the trick

06.01.2022 Please read the following notice regarding COVID-19 and the Glenrowan Veterinary Clinic. At this stage our normal working hours remain, which are 9.00am 5:30pm MondayFriday and 10am-12pm Saturday morning. However we are taking extra precautions and have modified our working procedures to help protect the health of our clients and staff. We request that if you are experiencing cold/flu like symptoms or are in self isolation due to contact with a known positive case, that... you not attend the clinic but discuss with us over the phone how we can best meet your pet’s needs. We may be able to conduct consultations over the phone or by video call. We are adhering to social distancing laws and the advice distributed by the Australian Veterinary Association and Board. When attending the clinic help us by adhering to social distancing laws and personal hygiene practices, please feel free to use the hand sanitiser available on the verandah. Ensure you have made an appointment before attending the clinic (if you have an emergency please call the clinic before arriving). If you require medications please ring first such that we can have them ready for you and minimize your time spent at the clinic. We are only seeing one client at a time, so please wait in your car with your animal if there is already a client present on the verandah/front door area. When we are ready to see you, we will collect your animal from you/your car. If we are seeing your dog we will endeavour to put one of our leads on your dog. We are not allowing clients inside the clinic, however for consultations we can consult with your animal in our front room with you (the client) on the other side of the glass window so you can still see your pet. This allows us to communicate freely and safely with each other. For procedures where your pet is to be admitted for the day, we will collect your pet from you/your car and we will change its lead if it’s a dog. We will call you in the afternoon when the animal is ready to be picked up and payments may be made over the phone prior to you collecting your pet after surgery. If you have any enquiries regarding this please don’t hesitate to contact us. Since this is a challenging and rapidly changing health situation we may have to change our practices again, so please refer to this page for our most current information or call us if you are unsure of our practices. Thanks for taking the time to read this letter. Lets work together to do our part to help flatten the curve! Kind regards, the team at the Glenrowan Vet :)
