15.01.2022 Police have arrested three teenagers following a spate of fires overnight in the eastern suburbs. About 1am on Wednesday 2 January, patrols and MFS crews were ...called to the Burnside Shopping Centre after reports of a charity bin on fire. A witness was able to provide police with a detailed description of the suspects. A couple of hours later, patrols were called to the Rose Park Primary School where another bin had been set alight. A short time later two domestic council bins were set alight on Grant Avenue at Rose Park. Then just after 4am a bin was set alight after being placed in the tennis courts at the Linden Park Primary School. Patrols located two boys matching the descriptions provided, nearby at the intersection of Conyngham Road and Flemington Street at Glenunga and arrested them. A third boy was arrested at his home address a short time later. A 15-year-old from Parkside and two 14-year-olds both from Beaumont, have all been charged with four counts of property damage and bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date. Anyone who witnessed these fires, saw anyone acting suspiciously or had any property damaged and is yet to report it to police, is urged to call Crime Stoppers South Australia or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
