25.01.2022 Missing your yoga sanctuary? Join me live at the studio every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9am. Classes are also recorded and shared in our private glide yoga Facebook group. We may not be able to have coffee together but we can stay connected with our community in the virtual world. I love saying hi to everyone as they join class and in case youre wondering we turn the cameras of all participants off before we start
23.01.2022 Ill be teaching the last zoom class tomorrow. As much as I loved welcoming and connecting with everyone online, it does feel a bit strange and lonely teaching in an empty room via laptop. It will be so good to see people walking through the doors on Monday

Thinking of things you can do for others is also a wonderful way to increase your happiness and to practice the teaching of Ahimsa (non-violence). I always see yogis cleaning each others mats after class, inviting others to join them for coffee etc. Look for opportunities to help others and experience the joy that comes from a simple act of kindness

07.01.2022 Our Sri Lankan retreat has been postponed until later in the year. The staff at Talalla were so understanding and compassionate when I let them know we would not be coming and our driver, Sanda sent his blessings to me, my family and all Australians. It was a powerful reminder that we can choose how we react - love, kindness, generosity and compassion is the only way
07.01.2022 The studio re-opens tomorrow in accordance with government health and safety guidelines. Our first class and some of the weekend classes are already fully booked. To secure one of the 15 spots per class and avoid queues at the desk, please book online via Mindbody. This will also assist with physical distance requirements and help us get the schedule of classes that best suits the glide yoga community. The studio has been thoroughly cleaned and dots placed on the floor for even placement of mats in line with government guidelines. Hand sanitiser is available for use before and after class. Please remember to BYO mat and a towel if you would like to cover a studio bolster or block. Classes will be sequenced in such a way that uses minimal props

07.01.2022 I was not expecting to enjoy teaching yoga in a mask, in fact my expectation was that people would walk out or not want to come again. Of course I was completely wrong, it was so wonderful to see everyone, we had a good laugh, a beautiful stretch and all agreed that yoga, even in a mask, takes you back to feeling calm, peaceful and joyful. We even went for coffee afterwards. So good to be out of lockdown and back in the experience of community and connection. Only 2 spots left in tomorrow’s stretch class at 9.15am - 4sqm rule
07.01.2022 Bridge pose is a wonderful pose for calming the nervous system, opening the chest and shoulders and stretching the thighs and hips. Like a bridge we can be steady and strong with firm foundations. We feel the soothing chin lock and natural ujjayi breath which ignites the relaxation response to bring about a peaceful mind state

05.01.2022 Research shows yoga boosts the immune system and calms the nervous system, making us feel less anxious and stressed. While much remains beyond our control regarding the spread of the coronavirus, we can stay focused on what we can control. As well as cleaning out mats after each use, we can practice preventative measures, like frequent hand-washing and use of hand sanitizer which is now available for use before and after class. We will also increase the frequency of cleaning the studio and provide extra hand towels. You are welcome to use a tissue with your eye pillow. All eye pillow covers are washed regularly or feel free to bring your own

03.01.2022 Saturday 22 August at 4pm Unwind, de-stress and restore depleted energy and immerse into a deeply restful and blissful experience. Natalie will be guiding you to open up your body and breath through a blend of deep stretches, gentle yoga flow and restorative yoga. To further relax you, she will be taking you on a journey using sound vibration frequencies produced from crystal bowls to clear ‘mind noise’, inducing a deep state of rest. The rhythms, tones and resonance created by singing bowls have been shown to slow down breathing, brain waves and heart rates, producing a sense of calm and internal connection. I must say, I love Park Yoga, so much beauty and space at this amazing reserve that is my backyard. With an abundance of birds, grass, trees and blue sky, we practice yoga.
