Flights to 4600 ft and 1 hour flights by a couple of intrepid "glidiators!" Thanks to Mark for taking care of a couple of people who arrived and wanted the Tri-Flight package each. 08.01.2022 Subject to verification after filling out some paperwork Adam Woolley and I have beaten the Australian 300klm out and return 20m 2 seat class record @139.9 kph.... We used a remote start 85klm from Pipers. Thanks Matthew Scutter for SkySight and it’s wickedly accurate plotting of the convergence. Thanks Ada for being the official observer. Great day in less than ideal conditions around Bathurst. Currently at 11,000 feet with final glide to home secured. Looking forward to a beer or two.

07.01.2022 A very changeable day at YBLA. AltoStratus, Alto Cu, Ci and CNim. What the..... Afternoon saw the expected Cumulus fade into the distance. BUT, never judge a cloud by its appearance! The thermals were working and it was 4 knots to 5,000 ft! Those who piked missed a good day! VneV had a good 1.5 hours and I think Mark G is still up there! John O and Terry C were seen somewhere in the distance..... Let's hope this weekend eases some more in Melbourne and we have all our members joining us by Christmas! Yes! Oh, and check out the Winton Solar Farm - it's massive with another 2 more farms to come! Oh, thermal source heaven!!
