22.01.2022 One of the showers this week. Red/orange mould CAN be just as harmful as black mould. I use doterra cleaning concentrate as this includes clove oil which kills mould spores, unlike bleach which only lightens the mould

20.01.2022 I’ve started this post about a dozen times and can’t get it right. So I’ll go with this one. It is with an extremely heavy heart that I, Gaynor, have decided to close Glistening Homes, after next weekend. I am going to continue my cleaning appointments this week and finish up next weekend.... I sat for my truck licence last Tuesday and passed. As Rod, my new husband, is a truckie we are going to be driving together. It is Hot Shot driving which means we get an hour or two notice to be in the truck and delivering to anywhere within australia as it’s urgent freight. So trying to schedule any clean is definitely out of the question. Some of you will remember that I did a driving job (mapping WA for Apple) at the end of last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. So when we were offered this opportunity we jumped at this chance too. Driving, getting more experience in a truck, seeing Australia, being with my (new) husband every day (hmmmmm is that a plus or a negative hahahaha) I have contacted my current clients to explain my sad news and as I have a huge following with my Facebook Business Page, Instagram, Twitter etc I am posting this on here too for everyone to see. I have loved every second of having Glistening Homes for the past 10 years. I have made some good friends through cleaning your houses. I have had some amazing cleaners work for me.I have a great rapport with a lot of my clients. We have had some laughs, some tears, good news, sad news. Some of you have welcomed me in as part of your family and I have loved watching your kids and families grow. Thank you to everyone for the past 10 years on this adventure but it is now time for my next one. Lots of love Gaynor Bryson. Dont forget to say HI if you see me down the shops etc.

16.01.2022 BINS!!! If your bin is a bit on the nose - Add 3-5 drops of a deodorizing essential oil (eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil) or a blend to 1Tbs. baking powder. Sprinkle into trash can. Or sprinkle a few drops of Eucalyptus oil on to a cotton ball then place into the bin. Eucalyptus oil is also a good bug repellent.

13.01.2022 Had a few laughs last week. Had lots of tears too. Was my last week of working. I had some of my clients throw a little party with their family for me. I had a tea party with two little children, and teddy bears.... I had a lunch with another elderly lady. Wow. I have felt the love definitely the past few weeks. But alas, this is the end of an amazing era. You have all become a major part of my life and I love the little family I have adopted along the way. Was a wonderful 10 years. See more

10.01.2022 One of my lucky clients this week got a clean this morning. We were in truck all weekend, and got home at 7am, and I still felt like cleaning today, much to hubbys amazement. Lol I dont do this every weekend tho

10.01.2022 As I have just been over the South Australian border I have been informed, by the local ladies in blue, AND the government, that I need to self isolate until Friday (when I go again) As my partner is a truckie we both have to self isolate after each trip. Even if I dont go with him, he is coming home to me. So the options I have are... 1. Close the business until this horrid virus has a cure OR 2. Leave my partner until a cure has been found. So unfortunately I am choosing option 1. Some of my clients have health issues, are elderly, or have young children so this is the safest option for everyone involved. Keep an eye on reopening times and updates

02.01.2022 Please please please clean the air con vents regularly. With clean filters and vents not only does it help run the air con cheaper but you are breathing in clean air. It's a good way to check also if you have moisture in the ceiling causing mould (like these pics) A soak in boiling water wasn't enough so I had to resort to Heavy Duty Decreases AND clove oil Yes Glistening Homes cleans your vents and filters too (not evap tho)

02.01.2022 amazing clients OMG Gaynor I was devastated when you closed albeit temporarily. I've tried some of your old cleaners. I've tried other cleaning companies.... But all I can say about your work is WOW WOW WOW My son dropped a lolly in the wardrobe track a few months ago. I've had 5 cleaners in that time. None saw it or did anything with it. BUT YOU, WOMAN. YOU ARE THE BEE'S KNEES. You not only removed the sweetie but also polished the tracks. I am so so soo glad I saw your post saying you are back I shouldn't rave too much about you as then you will be booked out solid again a d we might not get you again for our next spring clean and we NEED you and your MAGIC cleaning techniques. Love your styles. Love your eye for details. Love your no chemical cleans. Love the smell of eucalyptus when we walk in the Front door
