04.01.2022 SWAROVSKI SAYS FAREWELL TO THE GLOBAL CRYSTAL RETAIL MARKET Swarovski officially announced that they will no longer be supplying loose crystals and components to the retail market. This means, no more supply to retailers or resellers GLOBALLY, effective immediately (although back orders will be honoured). From my conversations with Swarovski I understand they have made the decision to restructure and streamline their business model following the economic and logistical chall...enges around COVID this year. This means they will be consolidating their individual operations and only producing select crystals for the high-end designer market. So What Is Our Plan Going Forward? Glitz It will be selling Preciosa crystals with our first shipment due within the next month. We have just placed a provisional order of the most popular colours and intend to restock with Preciosa as and when we sell out of our Swarovski lines. Who are Preciosa? Preciosa are a quality, luxury crystal producer based in the Czech Republic and have been in the crystal production business for centuries. Like Swarovski, they are also a big brand designer name in the crystal component industry. On A Final Note I have received messages from customers and the general feeling is one of shock and confusion about what this means for the future of their business. I just want to say I understand, more than you know - it is, without doubt, very disappointing news. But after a few days to think about this situation, I would like to offer my perspective in the hope that it brings you some comfort. This is a global decision. We are all in this together.
