Currently, the closest Ronald McDonald Family Room is located at Townsville University Hospital and over the past 2 years has welcomed on average 200 families per month. Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia is an independent NFP organisation with DGR status that relies on community support to operate their local programs, and are currently seeking support for the remaining $160,000 (out of $650,000) required to undertake the build at Mackay Base Hospital.
