20.01.2022 The GLOBAL VOCALS Artists: MICHAEL Michael has been singing for over a decade now, first taking formal singing lessons at the age of 9, and has continued studying both contemporary and classical voice since then.... As a student, Michael thoroughly engrossed himself in performing arts through his time at Marcelin college, completing 6 years of Music Study. This included performing a lead role in 3 school production musicals, including ‘Warner’ from legally blonde, the ‘Narrator from Blood Brothers, and ‘Zach’ in School of Rock. Michael was also given the opportunity to act as Cantor in many of Marcellin college's major events, including induction and graduation ceremonies. Michael was nominated for the Danny Price Performing Arts award in 2019. Michael was also given the opportunity to perform at Marcellin College’s 60th anniversary mass as a past collegian. Michael has also taken his passion outside of the classroom, having completed Musical Theatre classes for over a decade now, being a participant of the Victorian Opera ‘Voyce’ program since 2018, and being a chorus member in Vic Opera’s Magic Pudding and Parsifal, and also performing the National Anthem at the 2020 Australian Open as part of Victorian Opera. Michael was also granted a position in the chorus of the currently put on hold ‘Friends of Salamanca’, by Victorian Opera. Michael’s hopes to take his passion into the future were granted in 2020, when he commenced his Diploma of Music alongside a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. Michael is currently receiving lessons from acclaimed vocalist Carrie Barr.

19.01.2022 The GLOBAL VOCALS Artists: NATALIE Natalie’s musical journey started at a young age in choirs performing in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Disneyland, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Vatican for Pope John II. In finding her passion, Natalie graduated with a Graduate Diploma of Music, majoring in Opera from WAAPA, also achieving Bachelors of Performing Arts and Music from Monash University with first class honours. She has been fortunate to travel to China with ...the Australian International Opera Company in performances of the Magic Flute and the Marriage of Figaro and performs regularly with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Melbourne Opera and XL Arts. Natalie’s notable roles include Pamina and Pappagena in the Magic Flute, covering Maria in The Sound of Music, Susanna in the Marriage of Figaro, Edna in Tobias and the Angel, Fanny Price in Mansfield Park, Miss Jones in How to Succeed in Business without even Trying, the soprano soloist for Groundplane Opera as a part of Geelong’s White Night and Geelong After Dark, and recently was a young priestess in Melbourne Opera’s Norma.
