09.01.2022 COVID 19 is a powerful encounter! Quite possibly, the most impactful experience that some of us will ever have in our lives, but it gives us a wonderful opportunity to re-check and re-programme. Thanks to Frances and my children, I received this video yesterday which I now share with you. May I say quite simply it is compulsory viewing. While I despair in the loss of life and the pain this disease has brought to many, I take perspective and believe that in three years the world will be grateful that such an event gave all of us the opportunity to re-evaluate. This video captures this sentiment beautifully. Bernie K

06.01.2022 Last night I finished this book. It is now known as THE GIFT, but was originally called THE GIFT OF ANGER. It is written by Ghandi's grandson, who lived with Ba...puji in an Ashram for considerable time. The book summarises the ten greatest life lessons he learnt from his Grandfather. Here are a few of my learnings for you What is THE Truth ? One person sees Life as the pursuit of Happiness and therefore sees Pain and Chaos as a blockage to Happiness. Another person sees Pain and Chaos as a valued way to re-evaluate and therefore discover new pathways to Happiness. So what is THE Truth maybe a never ending journey of intricate DISCOVERIES ?? One who is unafraid to speak The Truth becomes a magnet. They have an indescribable luster, so much more intense and intriguing then those whose journies have not discovered that Truth ! "My Grandfather taught me to use the Spinning Wheel when I first arrived at the Ashram. I spun every day. It was very calming." When I read this, I asked myself what do I do each day that is CALMING ?? ALL Humanity is ONE Family If I get some reactions to this post, I will drip feed you some more learnings tomorrow. 03.01.2022 WHAT DOES GREAT LEADERSHIP LOOK LIKE IN THESE TIMES. Yesterday, I spent 30 minutes on ZOOM with a prominent CEO of a major Australian Company. Without his permission to publish, I will simply refer to him as D. My instinct says that I could have spoken to 50 CEO's yesterday in this country and not one of them would have echoed what I heard from D. ... 1. Embrace not only the times but embrace NOW the future it will create. 2. Stay in touch and thirst for current information that will help you understand that future. Gee this is important. 3. Get ahead of the game and start working towards that future NOW. Accept what is and what will happen as a consequence. 4. As a leader start preparing your people for that future NOW. (As leaders of your school what will you be doing to prepare the students for the rest of 2020, as they slowly return to school.) 5. Respond to the NOW always with high integrity and truth. 6. Be generous to all in these times of great need. People will remember generous leadership, but let that not be the reason why we do it. Yes, there will be businesses (like mine) that currently have little opportunity to embrace anything (no clients for all group trainings and travel is shut) but that doesn't stop any one of us from re-engineering re-creating innovating in line with the future to come.
