25.01.2022 Buying into a chicken shop in the middle of a pandemic was a leap of faith for Hamza Helmy, a job seeker who was connected to our Liverpool office. Hamza was initially looking for employment, but the opportunity to become a partner in Flames Charcoal Chicken in Condell Park came along at the right time - even though the hospitality sector had been impacted due to COVID-19. It was scary buying a business, and hard to take the first step, but I have no regrets. I had the su...pport of my wife and family and we have since opened a new branch of the business in Moorebank, he said. Open seven days a week, the take-away and dine in-restaurant has earned a solid following among the locals. We have a great menu, everything is fresh and we have a great team who care about each other. Over the past two years Global Skills has assisted more than 150 job seekers commence and maintain self-employment.
