22.01.2022 As 2019 draws to a close, on what has been a challenging year, and indeed, a difficult three years for all of us in the small business space, there are always highlights and positives that we can all draw on as we move into this next decade and 2020. For me, firstly, it is our team. Our young team of dedicated people. The energy, commitment and ownership that they bring to Globe BD. And yes, even in the heat of a very busy November with the fundraiser and December, with the h...ectic push to Christmas, they bring the smiles and the laughs. This always brings a warm and enjoyable feeling into our workplace and for me, is an extraordinary part of who we are as a team. Secondly, to our clients and associates. You make it all possible and why we all work so hard in our respective businesses to always do the very best that we can. Thankyou all. The highlight of the Globe BD calendar is always our Kids Rehab Fund and PCHF fundraiser. In 2018 we reached, with a lot of pushing and generosity, the magical figure of $50000 for the very first time. For this year’s 2019 fundraiser we soared to the massive total of $61880.87. This achievement has been so incredible that I sit back in awe. This definitely shows me where we will all be heading into 2020 a huge year of growth both personally and professionally amongst us all. 11.01.2022 Globe BD We are here to help - Covid-19 Update Myself and the team at Globe BD would like to give you an update in this uncertain time amidst the Coronavirus situation. Firstly, we would like to wish you, your families and all whom you work with best wishes and to remain safe, and respect those around you at all times.... We are still here and working furiously to assist all our clients, with not only their ongoing work, but as your personal contact to advise and find answers, and correct information in regards to each of the Federal Governments Stimulus packages, phases 1, 2 and 3. As well as recent State Government assistance for both Individuals and Business. We have split the team here at Globe BD. Janelle and Jinder will, at this stage be office based. I have been in the office, as a backup, and the rest of the team is rotating working from their homes, and the office. We are able to transfer you to whoever handles your work, whether here or at home. It is business as usual here at Globe BD, and we have all been glued to our phones, or in meetings utilising the Zoom. Any queries in regard to Zoom, and it’s set up, please contact Janelle. It takes minutes to set up, and is free for meetings less than 40 minutes. Regarding your business, and the stimulus packages, please call or email. Earlier this week, the Jobkeeper Subsidy was announced by Scott Morrison. We are recommending that all businesses register, whether you think you will be eligible or not. It will become clearer what we need to report to the ATO, and in what format we provide information, and yes, it does need a 30% reduction in turnover to be eligible. We have been completing the registrations for clients where instructed. Please contact us on this. A lot of the Government Stimulus packages are geared around the lodgement of your BAS’s and IAS’s. We are set to get them done for you as quickly as we can. We are here for our clients, and we have had plenty of positive acknowledgment from those we have touched base with to date. Lastly, we all work in this small business space. The first reaction may be to reign in the cash. How does this affect everyone else in the food chain!! 01.01.2022 Sometimes in life, there are ebbs and flows. And we all have them. Personal, work, business, relationships, kids, partners. I've been quiet on the Globe front for a number of weeks. But they have been very exciting. Managed to get to Adelaide and see the Eagles big win Against Port, which was just fantastic. Back home, and the remainder of the AFL finals ran their course with home side Richmond taking out the away team Adelaide. Over the last few weeks in the Globe journey,... we have been working hard in our continued learning of the new systems we've been successfully introducing since November last year. And there have been some real highs. It's just been fantastic to really get into all the capabilities that the systems and softwares bring to us. And the Team. The team has been taking what they do, and being open to the changes, and the new information that we can get. As long as we are open to investing the time that it takes. The next twelve months of learning will be exciting and inspiring. And people. Our PCH fundraiser is nigh. 17 November at the South of Perth Yatch Club. Really looking forward to this year with Mike Hussey as the guest speaker. And again, our MC Mr Mark Readings, whom has become part of our team, and a significant part of the day over the last five years.
