24.01.2022 The threat level of COVID-19 in South Australia is escalated. For the safety of our patients and staff, we encourage telephone appointments (where possible). If a face-to-face appointment is required, it will be time-limited, and we request that all patients wear a face mask while in the clinic. We also observe social distancing >1.5m and limit the number of patients in our waiting room.... If you have symptoms of the flu, a cold, or a loss of sense of smell or taste, then a COVID-19 test is necessary. Please refer to the SA Health website for a list of COVID-19 clinics and testing centres. If you are unwell and have respiratory symptoms, please ask for a telephone appointment with a GP, and a safe review will be arranged. Please be assured that our clinic is COVID-19 safe. The Government has restricted Medicare GP telehealth items to circumstances where a patient has an existing relationship with a general practice (i.e., the patient has visited a GP in the practice face-to-face in the last 12 months), other than for children aged under 12 months or patients who are homeless. Please be aware that a private or gap fee may be incurred for telephone or video consults.

We’ve already implemented social distancing and other measures, and now we’re temporarily removing the ability for our patients to book appointments online. Why? you ask? By speaking with you directly, our reception staff can discuss your situation an...d direct you towards the most appropriate care. Rest assured, we’re working with online booking providers to enable online bookings for telehealth and video consults. Once available, we’ll switch online bookings back on for these types of appointments. As you can appreciate, we’re currently handling a large volume of phone calls. Please be patient with our reception staff. They are working as efficiently as possible and will answer your call as soon as they can. We thank you for your patience. A large proportion of routine medical care can safely be performed over telehealth. These measures are in place for your safety.
