25.01.2022 A common question I think most painters often ask when starting a new project, . WHAT WERE THEY THINKING . The new owners of this house are keen to neutralise their kids new bedrooms. With the amount of stickers on every surface from the previous kids, there is going to be no end of patching and sanding. 25.01.2022 The problem with dark colours is they are prone to fading. Although the previous painter did an amazing job painting this house, this Taubmans Endure faded to this extent in only 18 months. Admittedly the paint rep was fantastic in supplying replacement product but I think to call your paint Endure is rather misleading. Other companies have admitted to problems with their dark bases fading and have come up with alternative paint lines for an extra cost which I think is a gimmick. If you’ve identified a weakness in your product you should upgraded it instead of charging the applicator more to do the same job.

21.01.2022 #haymes ultra lock undercoat came up so amazing, perfectly flat and sanded beautifully. I was nervous to apply the next coat because I have never used #haymes lowsheen Enamel before and from previous experience with Satin enamel paints I have found that they do not flow out very much but that was not the case. All the frames that have been done have come up beautifully and the doors have a gorgeous glow to them. 12.01.2022 As promised, here are some of the before and after photos of the purple people eater bedroom transformation, plus a few are the rooms in this lovely house. Prior to painting, the owners kids were too scared to sleep in their rooms because of the colours were now with new carpets, blinds, lights and even painting, even the kids are over the moon. 08.01.2022 The difference a coat of paint makes The previous coating had done a very good job but over the years the elements had taken its toll and it was getting to the stage where left any longer it would start to peel, flake and be a hard job. 06.01.2022 After an awesome long weekend away with friends and family it’s time to head home and get stuck into the next roof restoration . After 20 years in the elements it’s time to give this roof some love and attention, sadly when the house was built the front edge of the ridge caps weren’t pointed and with the addition of heavy footed tradies stomping up and down the roof, there are a numerous amount of broken tiles. 03.01.2022 Something that always annoys me with internal sliding doors is that the channel they sit on Rarely gets painted. Not that you want to make a feature out of something that is simply there to serve a purpose. That’s why I try and make an effort to make it disappear After having painted everything else it’s quite easy to tape up the surrounding area, etch prime the channel and spray it black.
