22.01.2022 ASHS Board Elections Now Open All eligible ASHS Members who were financial as at 25th May 2020 and who reside in New South Wales or South Queensland will have r...eceived a link and unique access code via email and or mobile. This link and code will enable Members to vote for their preferred candidates. Members who do not have an email or mobile on the Society’s database will have, or will shortly receive a notice that includes the login details and Member’s unique access code through the mail. 19.01.2022 An Important Message from the Board It is with regret that the Board of the Society along with the National Show Committee, announce the cancellation of the 202...0 National Show that was due to take place in Tamworth AELEC from 9th to 13th September. We know this will come as an enormous disappointment, not only to our competitors, exhibitors and sponsors but to our many Members in general who have enjoyed attending our National Show over many years. This is a decision made at the Board Meeting on the 9th & 10th June and was not taken lightly. There are two overriding concerns that have caused us to make this decision at this time. First, is the uncertainty caused by the fact of the unknown health restrictions with COVID 19 that could be in place, in early September at AELEC and the possible health regulations and rules around running a major event at this time. Nominations would need to open in early July and with this in mind, we did not want to be cancelling the event at a later date should the situation change in the next few months. The Board also felt the option of moving to a later date again, could possibly clash with other Branch Shows and events which they wanted to avoid. Second, is our primary concern and the responsibility we have to our Members and the financial implications on the Show recording a substantial loss given the many uncertain factors to producing a successful event. We are currently confirming the dates for the 2021 National Show and hope to be able to release these soon to all Members. In order to accommodate the Futurity and Maturity classes and the Fountain of Youth Sale that will not take place this year, the Board is considering running two, three, four and five year old classes for the Triple Crown and a yearling, two and three old FOY Sale next year. Further information will be advised as we develop a program for 2021.

14.01.2022 At our meeting on Wednesday night, it was decided that due to the ongoing uncertainty around Covid 19 and the Gloucester showground upgrade schedules, we have decided to cancel the Stockmans Challenge and the Gloucester ASH branch show for 2020. We are planning to hold a series of activities for the remainder of the year, so keep an eye on the facebook page for more information. In the mean time, happy riding

12.01.2022 Patterns Training Day Sunday 2nd August Starting at 9am finishing around 3pm... Gloucester Showground $15 per person, bring your own lunch and refreshments. Please let me know numbers by Thursday 30th July. Numbers limited Must be ASH member or day membership available No spectators this time sadly, please limit people you're bringing to help. EVERYONE has to sign in (riders and helpers, please see me for sign in page) We will have a Safety Management Plan in place which is a requirement of returning to sport. We know that you will be more than helpful in following the protocols that have been put in place as it is for your health and safety. Social distancing of 1.5m or greater Limit unnecessary gatherings There will be sanitizing stations but we strongly recommend you bring your own hand sanitizer You are encouraged to wash your hands regularly No high fives or hand shakes - please use thumbs up No sharing of personal equipment We recommend that you download and use the COVIDSafe app If you are unwell or show any of the symptoms of COVID-19 please do NOT attend this event
