We do hope you have observed our advertisement printed on page 2 of the Advocate.which is one of the committees 3 stickers. Tuesday 25th November marks White Ribbon Day; International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Gloucester Domestic & Family Violence Committee (GDFVC) along with Gloucester Rotary and Woolworths are... hosting a free BBQ (12noon-2pm) outside Woolworths to promote White Ribbon Day with free resources available for the community. The GDFVC are to also to launch their latest initiative the Wee Campaign which are three different stickers educating the community on the statistics and impact of Domestic & Family Violence, hotline numbers for support are on the stickers for both victims and those inflicting violence. The campaign aims to place sticker on the back of every public toilet door in Gloucester. GDFV Committee meets Bi-monthly on Gloucester Court Days. The mission of GDFVC is to raise awareness, inform & educate and strengthen the community’s capacity to respond to such social issues. Thanks goes to all who came by and supported our initiative.
