18.01.2022 COURSE CHANGE FOR MARATHON ONLY An assessment of Pipeline Pass last weekend found a recent landslide had obliterated several hundred metres of the race course between the Starlight Canyon junction and the turnaround at Glen Davis. After we reported the damage, NPWS have inspected and closed Pipeline Pass beyond Starlight Canyon, which is about 700m on the Glen Davis side of Pagoda Lookout, as the trail has been destroyed and the rock faces above the trail are unstable.... The revised marathon course will now: - Start as usual - Proceed up Pipeline Pass as usual - Visit Pagoda Lookout as usual (a short out and back off the main trail) - Proceed to and turn around at the Starlight Canyon junction - Visit Pagoda Lookout again, as the race would have done anyway - Return to the event hub. - Run around the Ruins Walk, the Ted English Bolt course - Return to the hub again - Run up to the Tunnel and back as per usual - Finish! Therefore, the course will substitute the Ruins Walk for the kilometres that aren't done on Pipeline Pass. It'll be a slightly flatter course, but scenic and historic all the same. Instead of passing through the event hub once at halfway, runners will pass through the hub twice before going up to the tunnel, and then at the finish of course.

06.01.2022 If you are still wanting to run but missed the online entry deadline- you can absolutely come and sign up on the day. Just turn up at least 40 minutes before the start time of your race and fill out a form. Bring cash. No phone reception means no Eftpos.
