23.01.2022 Introducing Yahnay Yahnay now has a year of working for GLOW as an interior designer and specifier. The past year has had us working apart and communicating online and via zoom etc. It is such a good feeling to be together at the studio and able to lay out samples together and converse quickly and easily bringing ideas to life. Yahnay has a classic inbuilt style, and when not at work she is styling her own house and watching interior design and house building clips.... Very nice to work with, share ideas and to have involved from inception to completion. #yahnay #glowdesigngroup #interiordesign #sampleboard #buildingdesign #designmatters

20.01.2022 Phoenix house Cobargo NSW cladding is coming along fantastically . @lysaght_au steel cladding is giving a distinctive finish. The entry in the first photo will be a standout when complete. Moving around has been difficult with state border changes, have fortunately been very much in the picture by excited clients filming and using drones at @cobargo_build and also many story updates from the very neat and attention to detail builders @getsmartconstructions ... It was a pleasure designing for this land. The site was one of three possible sites on a large parcel. We chose the best option, but also the furthest so long access road was required. 15.01.2022 Phoenix House: I don’t regularly show images of houses under construction on the feed, often using them for the Instagram story. I had to save this one as a static image, though not complete. Will be there to shoot this again when finished. I just love seeing the view framed up and picturing myself on the deck relaxing.... So pleased to see the quality of construction @getsmartconstructions and the framed up views the clients will be able to experience and enjoy with family and friends. Such a great project and clients to be involved with. Feels so good to have such a beautiful addition to the portfolio from GLOW. Thanks to all involved! 06.01.2022 Studio GLOW Really enjoying being able to meet up, work together and interact directly with clients after what has been an unsettling year. Tim and Yahnay pictured again enjoying studio direct interaction. We were able to work right through, but things are so much better when we are able to show samples in person, interact with each other and see people directly react to designs. Online catch-ups have sped up part of our process, but there is nothing like face to face intera...ction. Through the covid lockdowns we expanded the studio with a bigger focus on interior design delivery. We added a big 4K television to view projects, brought new lighting to assist online calls and were able to share screens and discuss in real time. Love meeting clients in person most of all. 03.01.2022 Studio GLOW Tim A great part of the day is spent on the computer. I was originally taught to draft houses on a drawing board using rotring pens and tracing paper. This was very time consuming work particularly as a left handed pen user waiting for the ink to dry so as not to smudge my work.... I quickly jumped to the latest versions of three dimensional software Archicad and find it an invaluable tool. Archicad freed up the drafting time into design time. An obsession with buildings and interiors led to a portfolio of houses designed both inside and out through use of this software. I love that textures and surfaces can be mapped, ideas tested the house developed right through before drawings which illustrate the build with detailed specifications. Very proud of the work I am involved with and the GLOW portfolio, also the people I meet along the way. 03.01.2022 Last year saw many changes to the way we live and work. The GLOW team were separated and working remotely. We started work on various projects and were fortunate that we could visit and measure up vacant houses and continue. When had the house in the software it almost felt we were there in a three dimensional space. We had also the internet communication which meant we could work with other teams. It has been a pleasure working with. Terri and the team @bloominteriordesign_australia to design and revise, extend and re blend through the use of Archicad and advanced pre rendering working back and forth to try changes on the model and improve the design. #collaboration #archicad #buildingdesign #designmatters #teamglow #studioglow
