24.01.2022 FAQ: Why do we require a deposit to book in a shoot? It's fairly self explanatory as to why we require full payment prior to shooting, but why do we require a deposit to lock in your date? For each and every person who book in, we ask for a 50% deposit of the shoot price (excluding weddings) to be paid upfront. It secures us both, the client and the photographer, for serious intent for shooting.... The deposit also secures your rescheduling abilities - you're able to reschedule your shoot anytime prior to 24 hours before your shoot. One of the issues we had prior to adding a security deposit for our shoots is people suddenly falling out last minute for shooting. Doing this caused a lot of serious customers to miss out on our available dates - especially weekend shoots - because other customers weren't following through with serious intent for a photoshoot. Since implementing the security deposit back at the end of July, we have has ZERO fall outs for shooting - which means consistency with our clients - which means more availability for you without the stuff around! While everyone has complied with this implemented strategy for Glow Geraldton, we want to be as transparent as possible with our reasoning. We are also very easy going with payments, including payment plans, for all of our clients. We understand the want for a shoot is not as necessary as your needs, but we want to provide a good thing the easiest way possible especially to those who may be a little more money conscious. I hope to chat to many more of you in the near future, especially as Christmas comes around the corner. 23.01.2022 MARCHELLE + MATHEW I would drive miles upon miles around Australia just to experience this wedding all over again. But the 7 hours drive was just fantastic! We were so very lucky to be the photographer for Marchelle and Mathew down in Margaret River. ... Beautiful weather and trees that have grown for over 2 life times, it was the perfect day to celebrate love. 23.01.2022 Hi everyone, I'm after a local make up artist who may be willing to accept some additional clients. Many individuals who book with me would love their make up done prior to a shoot. And I find it very so difficult to choose a make up artist for these individuals as I know not everyone is available especially under some short notice. The reason for my search is seeing the preference of booking a shoot with the make up package included, not only so the make up artist will be ...prepared and available for the shoot date, but so the client who books the shoot won't be stressed about their make up on the day of shooting. I would love to base around one or possibly two local businesses/individuals as it will be easier for communication on our behalf. I would prefer anyone reach out to me if they're willing to take on a few extra people especially on the weekends or weekdays between 4pm - 5pm. So please tag anyone, whether they're just starting out or they have made a name for themselves in our little town. 22.01.2022 What a super pleasant way to be finishing off a very VERY tough week for me. Mirranda [last name revoked], since you have just blocked me before I could respond and I'm very worried I will be a fake negative review target again, I would just like to say I don’t appreciate being spoken to in such a nasty manner. For someone who hasn’t had English as her first language for a lot of her life, missing out on capitals on some Christmas cards (for the font reasoning) is no reason ...to attack me. I have never had you as a customer or would appreciate your business with me. Needless to say, to have had 150 photoshoots in the past 6 months I think it’s easy to say a lot of people don’t agree with you. (However if any clients I do have had have any issue with any of their images ever, you're more than welcome to let me know as I only deliver photos I'm proud of. However if you're unhappy with them I'm always 100% down for a reshoot!) People get what they pay for because I am a 2 year amateur photographer who’s created a local, single handled female run business. And is surviving just off that. I charge a lot less than other photographers because I want to be affordable for some simple memories. I’m unsure if you’ve been hacked and have sent this without knowledge. God hope it be. I’m very sick of being targeted for the work I create for absolutely no reason. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it at all.

21.01.2022 Hi friends! A little update for you. I hope everyone has a very enjoyable long weekend and stays safe and well. We are also taking a small break today to recharge so if we don’t reply straight away to your messages, please don’t be alarmed or worried. I’m super excited for the next month coming, we are very busy but ready as anything to take on a heap of new shoot styles and complete a fully booked month of shooting for so many new people! Bookings for November are also fille...d up to the brim and will only be taking in two more weekday bookings before closing November shoots off. December is currently at request to be booked with some weekend dates already filled, but we won’t start actively advertising dates until mid-October at least! 17.01.2022 Hi friends! Something has came of light in the last couple of hours that has made me want to post this. I would love to reiterate this to my clients, past and future. If you have a problem with any of your images after I have delivered them to you, PLEASE let me know directly! The last thing I want for you is to be unsatisfied with what I’ve delivered to you. To pay for a photographer is a luxury and I am humbled to see so many of you want me to capture some wicked memories... for you. However sometimes expectations aren’t met and I want to make sure I don’t leave you unhappy for the service I provide for you. I want you to know I will not be offended in any way if you say to me you wish I delivered something better. I only deliver what I’m proud of, but of course my take on something looking good may be different to what you expected. And that’s okay! But I’m definitely not going to leave you empty handed and will do my best to either re-edit what I have for you, or reshoot if need be! If I’m not happy with the set of images I have, I will ALWAYS let you know prior to image delivery and will organise a date for a reshoot (if possible). As someone who’s still only very fresh into the business world, I understand mistakes and in expectations happen and I hope that many of you understand that too! As I start to develop my own style the more shoots I do, I hope that there’s also an understanding of what’s expected in future shoots with Glow. You only see 6 months of my work at the moment, and even though there’s quite a range of portfolio, it sometimes can be hard to see and imagine what your images may look like prior to booking me. I’m here to make some cherishable memories for you and I’m always so grateful people are willing to choose a younger, amateur photographer and give them a chance. In this time of recharging, we'll have very limited contact with our Facebook and Instagram pages. And no contact with our delivery platforms to deliver images to our clients. 01.01.2022 149 photoshoots, thousands of photos delivered, almost 1,700 likes on Facebook, over 700 on Instagram, 2 cats adopted, and a very happy girl who has made her photographer dreams come true in the past 6 months This year - despite the very weird start to the year - has been one of my best years of my life to date! I'm so very excited to be shooting for so many of you 2021. With my January almost booked out, and 6 months ahead with scattered shoots, and 13 weddings booked!... Today is my last active day on Facebook until the beginning of 2021. So I wanted to part ways with everyone with the warmest of thank yous to every single one of my followers and clients I've gained in the past 6 months. Also a massive thank you to my partner Nathan for being my rock with the whole business thing. I can honestly say winging it can get you so far if you didn't notice, he also runs a lil gig himself at NS Carpentry and Maintenance. Give him a ring to throw up a patio in your yard in no time I'm always grateful to have so many people willing to follow along my journey as a photographer and I can't wait to grow some more in 2021, and over the next however many years.
