23.01.2022 I was looking for articles on tissue healing and collagen supplementation, and just found this article (my research is by no means over). Interesting that even simple gelatine with a big whack of vitamin C improved circulating factors important for collagen synthesis!



17.01.2022 Fascinating that in animal models, dietary restriction (such as intermittent fasting) improves neurological autoimmune outcomes!! It will be interesting to see how these effects are found in human studies. There are a lot of benefits to intermittent fasting already noted in the literature, so it's certainly something that if there aren't medical reasons preventing experimentation with it, then it's worth looking into.

13.01.2022 This was an either or study looking at yoga versus Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is the "gold standard" of treatment for clinically diagnosed Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Both were effective, but CBT more so. Combining CBT with yoga is the obvious next research step.

The three periods are Gestation (conception to birth), which is characterized by extensive production, migration, and differentiation of neurons, as well as substantial apoptosis; Later adolescence (age 15 to 19 years), a period marked by synaptic pruning and increased axonal myelination; and Older adulthood (age 65 and beyond), a period associated with brain atrophy. Changes accelerate after age 65, largely driven by decreases in neuron size and reductions in the number of dendritic spines and synapses.
