17.01.2022 Important Jobkeeper Update There has been an update to the Jobkeeper eligibility for employees that is important for you consider. As of the Jobkeeper fortnight beginning 3rd August, employees are eligible in the following circumstances:... They were working full-time or part-time as at 1 July 2020. They were a long-term casual employee of 12 months or more as at 1 July 2020. Please note that this date has changed from 1 March to 1 July. The change also does not affect any employees who were already eligible. If you believe that you may have employees who are now eligible you will need to send them the attached Employee Nomination Form for them to fill out and sign ASAP. If GLR has been completing your Jobkeeper monthly declarations, we will be checking to see if there is any new employees eligible for you. Once youve worked out any additional employees who are eligible, you will need to make sure that you have paid them the required amount of $1,500 per fortnight in the relevant fortnight like you have for your other employees. The ATO has specified that you can catch up payments for the fortnight 3rd 16th up until 31st August as the legislation has been passed late. Jobkeeper Extension: We will keep you informed of the new Jobkeeper extension requirements closer to the starting date of 28 September, as well as any other relevant changes as they occur.
