25.01.2022 Before we head in to this round of football, we’d like to remind everyone that this is primarily a sport for our kids to have fun. There is a code of conduct. Please respect all referees - experienced and inexperienced, young and old. Please keep your commentary constructive and positive. We also have to make sure that all our coaches are registered as coaches on the MyFootball website. So if you are helping the club in a coaching role, even temporarily, please register.... There is no cost involved. Thanks in advance
24.01.2022 Canteen Specials! Water = $1 Soft drink cans = $1 Powerade = $2.50
23.01.2022 If your kids can't get enough football, book them into a holiday clinic with Jeff Summers!
23.01.2022 Apologies for the late notice, but we're going to need some helpers for the Canteen again in the morning. Particularly the early shifts - 9:30 and 10:30. We have U7 hubs at 9; U8's, U10's and U18's at 9:30; U8's and U12's at 10:30. That's a lot of parents... we only need four volunteers over the 2 hours.... Please help out if you can. And please remember to stick to social distancing guidelines.
22.01.2022 Thanks to some relaxed restrictions, you may now have more than one parent/carer spectating at community sporting events. ... just in time for the final game of the season and your team presentations Remember to keep to social distancing guidelines of 1.5m apart if not from the same household, sign-in at any attendance registers for COVID-19 tracing, and stay away if feeling unwell.... https://www.facebook.com/NewSouthWalesHealth/posts/1406211649578172 Wishing all teams the best of luck for the 2020 season final. Stay safe, stay respectful, and most of all, keep having fun!

18.01.2022 Congratulations to our Clubmember of the year - Rich Allen - and to our Coach of the year Sara Fletcher. You guys are an asset to our club and we appreciate all your hard work. Thank you! Well done
17.01.2022 *** COVID-19 UPDATE *** PLEASE SHARE Following guidance from Northern NSW Football and Football MidNorth Coast after the letter from NSW Government’s Chief Health Officer to all sporting organisations late yesterday afternoon, all clubs have been advised to implement a number of small changes to our COVID-19 safety plans. The points that affect our players, families and fans are as following: Where possible, only one parent/carer should accompany a junior participant to tr...aining or a match wherever practical and only essential participants should attend Senior matches. All spectators must maintain 1.5m social distancing from each other at all times. Any participant including however not limited to spectators, club officials, volunteers, players, coaches who has visited Victoria or any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates ) must not attend or partake in football, training, match days or otherwise until 14 days after their last visit. Please visit https://northernnswfootball.com.au/return-to-play-portal/ for more detailed information.
15.01.2022 For most junior teams there is only 4 weekends of football left for the 2020 season. GLUFC hopes that you've all enjoyed the shortened season so far. We'd like to make a special shout-out to the guys at Football Mid North Coast for their extra effort to ensure we even got to play... so thanks for that! Please remember to stick to social distancing guidelines and minimise spectator attendance to 1 parent where possible for the remaining games and training sessions. As per th...e latest recommendations from NSW Health, and guidance from FMNC, please note that there will be no club presentation event this year. Each team coach will receive their player's trophies etc. and has been asked to arrange the presentation - for their team only - at the conclusion of their last training or game. We will leave it up to the coaches to communicate this to their players and parents of players. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send us a message so we can assist where possible. Have a great weekend everyone!

14.01.2022 Putting a call out for canteen volunteers this Saturday as our very generous Lesley will be tied up with her own children's games. We only need 2 people for each hour from 9 AM - if your kids have a game at home, we'd love your support. Thanks! And while you're reading... If you've got nothing on at 3, come and watch the Open Mens battle it out against our Wallis Lake premiers. (keeping to social distancing rules of course )
13.01.2022 Please see below a list of Covid Dos and DO Nots in place for the 2020 season. Any questions, please refer to your team coach. PLAYER'S Should we shake hands prior to or following a match?... Players will no longer be encouraged to shake hands with each other or with match officials in an attempt to minimise unnecessary physical contact. Can we stay to watch other games other than ours? Yes. However, once your match is concluded you are considered a spectator and should abide by all social distancing guidelines including standing or sitting 1.5m away from others. Can we celebrate goals? Undertake team huddles? Teams should try to maintain social distancing wherever possible. It is recommended that players avoid team huddles and group celebrations where possible. Teams are encouraged to consider more creative ways to celebrate. Can we still carpool with other players? You may carpool with other players if you come from the same household, however it is up to you as an individual to abide by NSW Government Public Health Orders in terms of social distancing. For the parents of younger players - can we have fruit at half-time breaks? You may provide fruit for your child/children, but it is not to be shared around in a group or as a team. COACHES Can we return to full contact training? Yes. However, when off-field, it is recommended protocols of 1.5m social distancing are adhered to. Can we play friendly matches? Yes. Please refer to the appropriate sanctioning procedure outlined by your competition administrator. SPECTATORS May I bring my entire family to watch games or training? Yes. However, there may be limited spectator space at smaller fields (such as U6/7 hubs and U8/9's) and spectators will be encouraged to spread around the field for adequate social distancing. Where can I sit? In most cases you will be able to sit as per prior to the pandemic as long as per the Public Health Order spectators maintain 1.5m distance from those not from their household. Will we operate a canteen? Yes. We will only be providing pre-packaged foods, providing gloves to volunteers and try pricing in ‘whole’ amounts to minimise unnecessary cash handling. Only two volunteers are permitted in the canteen area at a time. Hand sanitiser will be available and encouraged to be used by customers before and after transactions. GENERAL Are attendance sheets still required? No, your registration in PlayFootball is sufficient for your club to identify you were at training or at a match in the case of COVID-19 tracing. It is compulsory that all players, coaches, match officials and all volunteers (of all capacities) are registered in PlayFootball - if you are not registered, you are not permitted to participate.

06.01.2022 The winter comp is coming to a close, but that’s no reason to stop playing football...
04.01.2022 This is pretty close to home... If you have visited any of these areas on the dates specified, please do the right thing. Self-isolate and get tested. Don't attend training or games and put your teammates and their families at risk.
04.01.2022 Hi guys, If any JSFC players (and their friends) want to play in this tournament, I’d be happy to take some JSFC team/s. Entry will depend on numbers in each age category. This will be a fabulous fun day of football. Please text JEFF on 0402211738 ASAP, to reserve a spot for your child.
