20.01.2022 Happy Monday! :) Dear foodlovers, many of you have followed my adventures with real food, low-FODMAP, paleo, grain-free, and LCHF (low-carb, high-fat or Banting) over the past 6 years, and many have requested information along the way. I have now been cooking, eating and sharing grain-free and LCHF food and recipes for almost 2 years, and I held a workshop recently which was very well received. Many people are finding this easy and sustainable to follow, and finding benefi...ts include better health, reduced IBS symptoms, reduced hayfever symptoms, and reduced joint stiffness & inflammation and this has been true for me also, along with loss of weight and actually keeping it off! If you have questions, if you're curious, or if you'd like to meet some like-minded foodlovers and learn some low carb cooking ideas and techniques, along with sharing some low carb food, please register your interest via message here and I'll organize a venue dependent upon numbers. Last time we made low carb pizza! YUM! :) Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you soon! See more

14.01.2022 Bunless steak sandwich! Thriving grain free!

13.01.2022 Christmas day could have been quite a challenge to stick to eating grain-free, but with a little bit of preparation and planning, it worked out really well! I steamed 2 cauliflowers (cut into pieces) on Christmas eve, and made a cheese sauce with grated tasty cheese, cream and pepper. When the steamed cauliflower was softened, I placed that into a large baking dish, poured the cheese sauce over the top and baked in a moderate oven until starting to brown. I allowed this to co...ol for an hour or so before covering with foil and storing in the refrigerator. I reheated it in the morning, and it stayed very hot in transit, packed in towels in an esky. I'd also washed and dried a couple of punnets of strawberries and blueberries, dipped these into melted dark 90% Lindt chocolate, allowed to cool to room temperature then stored in the refrigerator overnight. Both these were definitely a hit with everyone, not just for low-carbers! What grain-free variation did you make for Christmas dinner? See more

07.01.2022 Dear Foodlovers, if you're wanting a batch of our delicious fudge, brownies or nougat prior to Christmas, you'll need to be quick, because sadly we are closing at the end of November. Trays of fudge $30, brownies $40 or nougat $4 per piece will be available to order by 20th November, to be made fresh just for you, but then no more. I will be running a workshop or two if people are interested in making their own gluten-free, grain-free, or low carb foods. I have now been ...cooking, eating and sharing grain-free and LCHF (low-carb, healthy fats) for over 2 years. Many people are finding this way of eating easy and sustainable to follow, and finding benefits include better health, reduced IBS symptoms, reduced hayfever symptoms, and reduced joint stiffness & inflammation and this has been true for me also, along with loss of weight and actually keeping it off! Many have also reversed their type II diabetes. If you have questions, if you're curious, or if you'd like to meet some like-minded foodlovers and learn some low carb cooking ideas and techniques, along with sharing some low carb food, please register your interest via message here and I'll organize a venue dependent upon numbers. Last time we made low carb pizza! YUM! :) Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from you soon!

01.01.2022 Good morning! Yesterday I attended a lecture from Dr Sue Sheppard at a trade show Foodservice Australia and met a couple of people from Coeliac Victoria and Tasmania Inc.. They are currently putting together a course which will be offered to those who work in the food industry, particularly cafes, to educate them about what is necessary to supply gluten free produce to those who need this in the community. My commercial kitchen has been gluten free for 6 years now.... I still find sourcing suppliers with regular commercial stocks of gluten free ingredients to be difficult at times, but I do my best to ensure this, so that my customers can feel safe. I also met with the owner of Well and Good and discussed GF testing procedures with one of his staff members, along with supply of ingredients. I am now looking to moving forward with more confidence! I wonder if you would mind letting me know (via message if you like) why you follow a gluten-free diet - whether you are Coeliac, gluten intolerant, FODMAP sensitive, grain-free, prefer real foods without additives, or another reason. This would help me greatly in forward planning, and enable me to continue to bring you the best quality GF products for the best prices. Thank you very much :)
