25.01.2022 According to the United Nations, today is International Day of Older Persons. What a good idea! We need to celebrate the wisdom of our elders. My poster girl for this is my mum Margaret. Shes 95, gives speeches at her Penguin Club, visits her friends, goes to church every week, texts on her iPhone and still makes cumquat jam. How good was the ABC series Old peoples home for 4 yr olds? Lets celebrate our oldies & grandparents today and everyday.

25.01.2022 Hi everyone, Margaret Sandford is hosting celebration drinks at the Mt Pleasant Bowling Club tomorrow evening (Thursday) from 5.30 - 7.00. All invited. Ill be there. Look forward to seeing you.

16.01.2022 It was wonderful to visit the Bicton Mens Shed this morning, next to the Bicton Uniting Church. What a fantastic community asset this is. Thank you to Terry, Bob and all the men for making us so welcome. We need to find them a bigger shed! - and we need more Mens sheds such as these.

15.01.2022 So Ive been busy door knocking! Whod have thought? After overcoming fear, I now actually enjoy it. I come home enthused and energised after meeting and speaking to my neighbours and community! One passionate person I want to mention is a Police officer I met in Bicton. She is really worried about the future of the Force. They are having trouble recruiting good people and the new recruits often dont stay in the job. Good pay, conditions and support are key factors - which s...eem to be lacking. Shes right, we need to publicise our support for the @WA_Police. They cant get regional officers as rent has gone up $1500. Support services are lacking. They are currently in negotiations with the State Government to improve pay & conditions. I know I feel a lot better with a committed Police Force and I admire anyone who puts up their hand to join. My view is we need good police officers and we need to look after them. See more

15.01.2022 Hey everyone - its International Day of Peace. Why dont we make peace today with someone or something thats been bothering us? Lifes too short. Ill be channeling peace today - its my daughters 21st birthday celebrations! The dogs are excited about the 21st too! I hope you all have a peaceful weekend.

15.01.2022 Our future is in good hands. My Year 12 students leave school today to study for their mock exams. During the year we held fundraising events as part of our course. This is a picture of the students presenting a cheque for $756 to the Street Chaplains WA who do a wonderful job helping people on the streets of Perth. The students also worked and donated over $500 to 4Ocean - to help clean rubbish out of the Earths oceans. I am very proud of the fine young people my year 12 students are. All the best to all the year 12 students ( and their families!) who are preparing for upcoming exams.

15.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported my election result. (Like my lovely scrutineer!) Hope you can call in
