04.01.2022 In usual times we would be having our first rehearsal for Term 2 later this afternoon. Unfortunately that is not to be at the moment and we look forward to the day when we can all get together for a sing again. Hope you are all working hard at home school, practising your singing, being kind to your family and yourself, helping with chores around home and learning new ways of doing things. Would love to see some photos of you singing if you are able to add them to the comments on this post Take care x

04.01.2022 While the last few months have been a challenging time as we have missed out on doing things that we enjoy doing it has also been a valuable time for us to stop and smell the roses and evaluate our lives. This self-reflection has lead to the realisation that we were both trying to fit too many activities into our lives. As a result, we have decided to bring GLYS(Greater Launceston Youth Singers) to an end after 8 years. We have worked with many young people during these y...ears who have shared our passion for singing. We hope that the skills they have learnt and developed at GLYS rehearsals will help them in future musical experiences. Most importantly we hope that they all continue to experience the joy of singing. To members past and present, families of members and our supporters - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are proud of what we have achieved during our time and have been privileged to share our work with an appreciative local community. We will always cherish the time we were able to spend with amazing kids - this group will always be special to us. Once again, thank you to everyone. Keep on singing and best wishes to everyone. Love Denise and Cherie xx See more
