25.01.2022 I have decided to retire from law which means that GMC Law will close its doors on 30 June 2020. I would like to thank all my clients for their support over the last 4 years and I wish everyone all the best for the future.

13.01.2022 Conveyancers or Solicitors? Whilst conveyancing is one of the things we do at GMC Law, it is not what we are. Whitney and Gillian are both solicitors and both have an honours law degree and hold a current practising certificate with the Qld Law Society. Whilst in some other States a person other than a solicitor can be registered or licenced as a conveyancer, in Qld only a solicitor or a person such as a paralegal who is supervised by a solicitor can act in a property transaction. So if someone asks you if you want a conveyancer to act on your behalf when you are buying or selling your property you should say "no thank you - I will need a solicitor".
