18.01.2022 We were so busy with our second show setup we totally forgot to post the big news on the day ... the 2020 GEM winner!! We are so excited to announce that Madi-Kate took out this year’s prize - winning 10 hours of recording time in the Infidel Studios! So many thanks to all our contestants- we are so proud of you all and the judges had a tough time deciding between The Dalmations, Kiara and Our locals the Von Blake singers. ... But Madi Kate’s talent - her voice, her song writing and her talent set her apart. We were also thrilled to have Felicity Dowd Music perform and watch the battle. We can’t wait to do it all again next year. And standby for the announcement about how much we raised for MND tomorrow. We have been happily counting our cash :) Madi Kate

16.01.2022 Well it's hard to believe that it was just over a week ago that we held the McGrath Gundaroo Music 'Wedge' at the Gundaroo Colonial Inn. We had a fabulous afternoon and evening despite our small numbers allowed, and were joined by so many of our ongoing sponsors - who despite the toughest of years pitched in to help us hold the event on the usual 4th Saturday of October. It really was a case of using music to bring people together. As Scott Harding, Event Director said on th...e day - these are the businesses who despite their tough year still wanted to give so generously - and those are the businesses we should be supporting back. That's why we want to thank them and urge you to choose them. They include McGrath Real Estate - our naming rights sponsor, Fire Integrity Services; SI Tech; Littlewoods; Monaro Screens; Control and Electric; Village Building Company; Complete Construction; Body Shop Smash Repairs; Barmco Mana McMurray; Hydromatic; Lions Club Gunning; Tallagandra Hill Winery; Gundaroo Colonial Inn and Bella's Feast & Rolling Hills Kitchen. We had so many personal donations on the day so thanks to those people - you know who you are. We also want to shout out to Graham Opie who heads up MND NSW who joined us on the day. They have done it tough raising money this year during COVID to help those desperately in need of assistance as they battle this insidious disease. Our GM 'Wedge was the first fundraising event since March and so we are thrilled to announce that this year, despite all the challenges placed before us - we are going to be giving a whopping $15,000 straight to MND NSW!! Of course a music event doesn't happen without music and we want to thank all the artists who donated their time and talent to make it happen - and our GEM Grand Finalists (congrats again Madi-Kate!) A huge shout out also to Big Little Productions who organised the acts & Rotating Head for our livestreaming of the GEM Battle & Infidel Studios for donating the GEM prize of a days recording. Most of all we want to thank all of you who support us support those with MND in our region, year after year, especially those in our own Gundaroo Community. We can't wait for #GMF2021. Thankyou all.
