24.01.2022 Not a fan of Dressage? That's okay, because some of our members aren't either. Some adult riding clubs focus on one particular discipline like Dressage, but we aim to offer a more general experience for social or non-competitive riders who want to get out on their horses, learn new things and have fun.... During the course of the year, we offer riders a range of opportunities to learn new skills and give their horses experiences that will help them on their journey of becoming beloved and reliable all-rounders. If you'd like to try a bit of everything with your horse this year, why not consider joining a riding club like ours?

21.01.2022 Have a look at the worlds cutest babysitter, who came to club today to keep her big mate company.

20.01.2022 Today was our first mid-week rally for the year and it was great to see so many riders come along and stay for lunch. On hot days like today, having the indoor arena to ride in makes a big difference to the comfort of horses and riders. See you all in few weeks for the Sunday rally!

20.01.2022 Wondering how our rallies work? Our rally dates are set at the start of the year, so you'll know when they are. A few weeks before each rally, you'll get an email letting you know who the instructors are and what lesson times have been allocated to each level. ... This means you get to pick the instructor you'd prefer to have and the time that suits you best. The email will also contain a booking link which you follow to Nominate where you can book and pay online. Each class has no more than 3 riders in it and all classes are taught by supportive, experienced coaches. You can book a second lesson if you want to do more! If having two lessons a month scheduled into your diary at the start of the year could help you reach your riding goals, why not consider joining a riding club this year?

20.01.2022 Great turnout for our first Sunday rally of the year, lovely to see so many staying for lunch.

18.01.2022 I thought this was worth sharing.

16.01.2022 Have you got young children? Did you stop competing because it's too hard to fit it all in with kids sport and family stuff on the weekends? Our Thursday rallies are perfect for mums with kids at school because once a month, you can drop the kids off at school, have a lesson and be back home again long before school pickup. If making some time for yourself is one of your goals for this year, why not join an adult riding club? You'll be motivated to make time to ride between r...allies and you'll get to enjoy a social, relaxed outing once or twice a month with your horse. With no pressure, or plaiting or preparation. Or kids, or husband. Sounding pretty good, isn't it?

12.01.2022 Riders of all levels belong to our club. Lessons are based on the combined ability of the horse and rider and are grouped as follows: GROUNDWORK TO RIDDEN: for horses/ riders that start the lesson on the ground and (may) progress to ridden during the lesson. Great for the horse that is just starting a career with basic schooling or for nurturing an inexperienced horse along with its training. Also for rehabilitation.... LEVEL 1 FLAT: for the more green horse or rider who has not had a lot of experience in riding flatwork or has lost confidence, or the horse that is new to the arena and working in company, beginning to work in in a consistent manner. My also be suitable where fitness or rehab for either horse or rider requires a more gentle pace! LEVEL 2 FLAT for the horse and rider that can generally walk, trot and canter in an orderly manner. (canter generally done individually). Beginnings or basics of lateral work and is physically and mentally ready to learn more. LEVEL 3 FLAT: for the horse that can generally walk, trot and canter in a group situation and understands basic lateral work. For the rider working on an even consistent contact and who is aiming to maintain and independent position. Expected to work throughout lesson! GYMNASTIC POLES: for riders who want to use trot poles to improve suppleness, flexibility and strength and add variety to their flatwork. Pole work likely to be at trot, may involve some canter or lateral work depending on the horse and rider's capabilities. JUMPING: the class will be structured to new/ novice jumpers, using cavaletti and introducing small grids or related lines to teach rider and horse technique, balance, rhythm, straightness and position. Generally around 45cm - 65cm, but is absolutely dependent on the rider and horse capability and confidence!

09.01.2022 Getting your diary organised for the year? Here are the rally dates for 2020.

04.01.2022 We were having so much fun at the AGM & Member Meet & Greet at the SEC last night, that nobody thought to take a photo of our members smiley faces! It was lovely meeting so many new members and welcoming so many current members back for another year. 2020 is shaping up to be an awesome year!

01.01.2022 Keeping mentally healthy is just as important as staying physically healthy, and the Act-Belong-Commit recommendations of Mentally Healthy WA suggest that we: "Do Something" - Keep active - physically, socially, mentally and spiritually. "Do Something with Someone" - Keep connected - to friends, family and your community.... "Do Something Meaningful" - Do something meaningful, important and valuable to you. If you're a rider, joining an adult riding club is a great way of doing this, so why not make joining a riding club near you, one of your goals for this year?
