18.01.2022 Protein Benefit #7: Supports weight loss Many high-protein foods (like lean meats, fish, whey protein and Greek yoghurt) fill you up for a relatively low amount of calories. Eating protein throughout the day will satisfy your hunger and prevent cravings, PLUS your body uses up extra energy to digest protein! Your body burns more calories breaking down protein than it does breaking down fat or carbs (20-35% of the calories consumed from protein are burned to digest that prote...in, compared with 5-15% of the calories consumed from fat and carbs). Thats why protein should be a key component of any weight loss program! Read more on the GNC blog: http://goo.gl/O5JCVJ
