25.01.2022 We started watching the TV series Arrow last night... There was no way after watching that we werent getting up really early in the cold to go to work on a pair of abs like that. Had a great workout this morning with Jamie Spence...... Whatever motivates you... Go for it, Get up and achieve what you want, time goes by way too quick to make excuses ! 19.01.2022 So I didnt feel the best after a visit to the physio yesterday afternoon, It would have been very easy to settle for un-nutritous take away for dinner, However I decided to whip this up... GND Healthy Take On Fried Rice: SlimRice... Egg Whites Tripple smoked ham (Diced) Peas Herbs/Spices (I used tumeric, morrocan, garlic steak seasoning) Splash of soy sauce to serve Cook up the egg whites and ham well in a dry pan, then toss in the peas and slimRice, followed by the herbs/spices and continue to cook, this smells D-lish you will be ichin to get it off the stove and in your belly. Serve with a little soy sauce. This was SOOOO Quick and easy to make, took a lot less time than heading out to buy some take away, tastes great and VERY healthy !

17.01.2022 GND Mini Muffins You will need: Cup Protein powder (I used Maxine Burn Vanilla) Cup Phsylium Husk... Cup Coconut flour Cup Oats Tspn Bi carb soda 2 Tspn Natvia natural sweetener 1 Tspn Ground cinnamon cup Water Cup Drained and mashed tin pears Cup Chobani Fat free yogurt 1 Tblspn Extra light butter 3 Egg whites To make the mini muffins Pre heat oven to 170C and spray mini muffin tray. Mix all dry ingredients together then add the wet ingredients and mix really well. Now pour batter into prepared muffin tin and place in oven to cook for approx. 15 mins. - I dropped a very small amount of pb into the middle of a couple before baking, these also turned out quite nice - Makes about 17 mini muffins

Below I have listed some very important points on why we need to keep up adequate amounts of water: - Two third constituent of human body is dependent o...n water. - Water serves as a major agent of detoxification. - Regulation of temperature and that of metabolism is facilitated through water. - Each &every human cell needs water for its sustenance, be it the blood cell or neuron the smallest unit of the nervous system. - Water has its part to play in the transportation of nutrients. As far as the absorption of nutrients is concerned, water has its role to offer. - Water makes up greater than 2/3 of the weight of the human body; the brain is 75% water, blood is 83% water, bones are 22% water, muscles are 75% water, and the lungs are 90% water. A few other benefits - Drinking water can help to fill you up and prevent you from overeating. - As you increase muscle mass through exercise, your body will burn more fat. Muscle is made up of more water than fat is, so water becomes even more important as you become more active, dehydration slows down the fat-burning activity of muscles. - Drinking an adequate amount of water will actually decrease your tendency to retain fluids. *Remember Diet soft drinks and other beverages containing artificial sweeteners may cause you to retain more fluid, these should be avoided.

14.01.2022 Its not like me at all to have a lunch/dinner meal without including some form of meat, However I threw this together last night and yumo! It doesnt look all that appealing in the photo but it was a very tastey and a healthy vegetarian meal for a change. All I did was... Diced up some zuchhini and egg plant. Cut up some cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and shallots. Tossed in a pan and seasoned with cajun spices, tumeric, morrocan seaoning and some chai seeds. Steamed some fresh a...sparagus and cut into pieces. Tossed everything in bowl along with some seasoned SlenderRice. Quite tastey and refreshing, could also be nice cold as well, or served as a side dish for those that cant go with out their meat :) See more

13.01.2022 GND BROCCOLI TABOULI A different way to enjoy your broccoli... You will need:... 1 big broccoli tree 1/2 bunch parsley 1-2 tomoatoes 1/2 red onion 1 red capsicum 4 teaspoons chia seeds 1/2 small lemon 1/2 lime Couple splashes fat free balsamic vinigar With a knife run over the broccoli so that you catch all the little balls in a bowl, remove the seeds from the tomato and dice very small the tomato, capsicum and onion. Cut up the parsley finely and add to the mix. Throw in the chai seeds, and toss all together. Now add the lemon, lime and balsamic and toss again. I had this with some steamed chicken breast in soy sauce and garlic for dinner last night... Mmmm Mmmm Enjoy !

11.01.2022 ...ADDICTED TO CHOBANI... Especially the Non-Fat Plain, I use this for so many recipes. The breakdown on this yogurt is fantastic, full of protein, no fat and much less carbs/sugars than other yogurts.... Not a fan of the sour plain/natural taste? Try stiring some sugar free maple syrup through it... Yum !

09.01.2022 Ok I thought ide have a crack at some sort of healthy ANZAC biscuit, they didnt really turn out much like a traditional ANZAC biscuit but they are SUPER YUMMY ! You will need: Cup Sugar Free Maple Syrup... 1 egg Packet SlimPasta Rice Smidge under 1 Cup Almond Meal Cup Goji Berries Cup Nut/Seed Mix (Almonds, Sunflower seeds, Pepitas) 2 Tablespoons Desiccated Coconut Cup Plain Flour Teaspoon Coconut essence Teaspoon Bicarb Soda First start by Lining baking tray with baking paper and pre heating the oven to 180C. Rinse the SlimPasta rice thoroughly and drain well, put half the packet in a mixing bowl along with the egg, maple syrup and coconut essence and mix together. In a separate bowl mix together all dry ingredients. Now combine the two and mix well until combined. Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared trays and flatten a little. Now place in the fridge for 10 minutes before putting in the oven to cook for approx. 12-15 mins or until golden. *** I didnt flatten mine so they arent a typical flat looking biscuit, however Im sure they taste the same mmm mmmm mmmmmmmmm !

Fiber also plays a role in cardiovascular health as it helps to lower cholesterol levels, reduce blood pressure and reduce inflammation, It also helps... stabilize blood sugar levels for people with type 2 diabetes. Dietary fiber can be broken down into two groups - soluble and insoluble. Soluble fibre Soluble fibre can be digested by your body. It may help to reduce the amount of cholesterol in your blood. If you have constipation, gradually increasing sources of soluble fibre, such as fruit and vegetables, oats and golden linseeds, can help soften your stools and make them easier to pass. Foods that contain soluble fibre include: -oats, barley and rye -fruit, such as bananas and apples -root vegetables, such as carrots and potatoes -golden linseeds Insoluble fibre Insoluble fibre cant be digested. It passes through your gut without being broken down, and it helps other foods to move through your digestive system more easily. Insoluble fibre keeps your bowels healthy and helps prevent digestive problems. Good sources of insoluble fibre include: -wholemeal bread -bran -cereals -nuts and seeds (except golden linseeds) I seen this on Dr. Oz the other day and thought ide give it a shot, it isnt actually all that bad, easy to drink. I did add a big tsp of the metamusil though for flavour.

Im not saying dont drink at all, but if your determined to get the healthy body you are after keep an eye on the calories you drink as well, as they can add up quite quick..
