25.01.2022 A Return Air Filter, Filters Airborne Particles. Inside your return air grill is the air filter. This filter has several functions but it mainly works to collect dust, debris, pet hair, and other small particles floating in the air, so that it doesn't continue cycling through the system and out the supply vents. Your AC's return air filter is a critical component of any ducted system and needs to be maintained to keep the system running efficiently. If there is no filter, ...the debris will end up on the indoor coil,greatly reducing the operation of the system in both heating and cooling while causing unnecessary strain to the indoor fan motor. We recommend that you replace your filter every 3/5 years to ensure your getting the best air purity and performance from your system. 23.01.2022 The drain circuits on ducted reverse cycle systems, seem to be the most common installation error that I come across. Again.....no P-trap, hence the gurgling & the other problem is, both drains pipes running together... you'll never know if you have blockage issue till the ceiling starts to show signs with water marks. (You could hear the gurgling outside, over the running condenser)
