06.01.2022 A MESSAGE FROM THE BOSS AT GEELONG HIGHWAY PATROL REGARDING THIS LONG WEEKEND Geelong Police will be taking part in a long weekend traffic operation focussing o...n Road Safety. Operation Scoreboard will be a high visibility operation targeting all major and feeder roads in and around Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast areas. You can expect to be breath and or drug tested during the operation which runs from Thursday night until Monday morning. We are targeting drink/drug drivers and speeding offences. Our intelligence also suggests that speed and distraction are the major causes of fatal and serious injury collisions. We urge everyone to do the right thing, take breaks if you need them and dont drive if you are affected by alcohol or drugs. We want everyone to enjoy the long weekend and urge everyone to drive carefully and responsibly in what will be a busy weekend in and around Geelong.
